Three months of hell: Part 2

Connor wakes up on a plane with Kim giving him a pedicure clipping his toe nails and filing them adding some light nail polish in the mix. He sits up and Kim turns around smiling.

"We're off to Musha Cay that's where the first stone is, can you tell me what they are? The stones."

Connor pinches himself to learn that a handful of travelers took down an army and got away with him when all he wanted was to finally get a chance to lay low and stay hidden.

He sighs before looking up at everyone else, "I read in a book that they are used to seal away supernatural entities and hold great power that can be channeled and manipulated by witches meaning that they are located in places we'll find witches."

Ake holds up his hand and smiles, "Think they can get rid of these for us? I hate knowing that I can't just bail when I want too."

Kim laughs at him while Connor is very intrigued.

"Will the witch kill you if you don't return with the stones?"

"It's already killing us and if we don't get them back within 3 months we're dead for sure." Ake states turning his head to the side curious who Ken is talking to that he felt the need to step away from them.

Ken is on the phone with Yuno who is baby sitting a sick Tori and restless puppy, "Take him to the doctor, there are some things your ability should not be used for and a simple cold is one of them. His body will be dependent on your water to heal it if you don't let him adjust on his own."

Setsuno shows up and hangs up yelling at Yuno for not going to school while Ken just added Setsuno to his priority kill list.

He stands up and finds Connor comparing notes between what he knows about the mark and what Ake tells him about it he's been getting hot flashes so far and the mark is forming a chain.

Ken looks at his mark and it looks just fine and he feels just fine, "I wouldn't believe what he says I'm just fine."

Ake glares at Ken while Kim stops applying nail polish and turns to look at her brother.

"It's not like we all have healing water running through our system so, quit being a jerk." Kim scolds her brother going back to what she's doing.

"Healing water?" Ake and Connor turn their heads and Ken takes a step back, there's something about the way they looked at him that set his flight or fight instincts into overdrive.

An intensity in their eyes that only fueled Kim's sadistic nature. She stands up comes back with a knife and cuts Ken taking his blood into a glass while the cut heals.

"Take a sip" Kim practically forces it down Ake's throat and knocks him out with a punch.

"Really Kim? Was that necessary? You could've punched harder."

Connor looks between Kim and Ken with a sceptic look on his face. The rest of the flight is filled with silence.

Kim keeping herself busy by giving Connor massages and feeding him. Ken keeps playing a never-ending game of spot the difference between his mark and the unconscious Ake's.

They get off the flight and follow Connor who takes them on a little hiking trip up the mountains and they stop when they reach the top of a waterfall.

"Enjoy the view men and woman, let's just relax and enjoy the view."

Kim shoves Connor over the edge and the other two turn pale, "There, now you two will stop being so relaxed and you'll remember that it could be any one of you keeling over and dying.

'Relaxing is not on our schedule and I seriously want to try something with this."

She shows them the left-over blood from yesterday and jumps over the edge to get Connor who surprisingly survived the fall, but she was betting on that to work and gives him the blood watching him gasp for air and slowly recover.

"Man, that is one powerful ability," She comments while squatting down next to Connor.

Connor kicks Kim in the face and stands up, "I think my ribs are still broken and my leg is half healed."

Kim smiles and carries him using her ability to propel herself back up to the top next to Ken and Ake who regret letting her tag along but know she'll come in handy if they can get her to cool off.

"Ken is our walking healing blood bank, but the bloods effects became weaker meaning your body is absorbing all that water and soon we won't have any healing blood for the trip, but fear not."

She puts down her back pack full off emergency medical supplies and they wait for Ken to donate blood and share it among themselves equally. "Anyone who misuses their vial or loses his is on his own."

They follow Connor further up and all 3 men have a bonding experience over their hatred for Kim tagging along.

"What do you guys think she'll do to me? Think if I play nice I'll only get to see her sweet and gentle side?" Ake asks the other two and they have absolutely nothing nice to say and hope he gets worse.

"I think you'd do great as bait mate." Connor states bitter he had to use one of his vials already.

"I agree with him."

Ake groans stopping in his tracks as the other two pick up the pace. The ground shakes and Ake grabs Ken who loses his footing falling back and both of them tumble down.

A group of kids jump out from out of nowhere riding branches like a witch would a broom. The is an echo of chanting that puts the travelers to sleep before they carrying them away.

"Look, they have been Hexed maybe that's what they want help with." The group of children stop in front of the head masters tent and wait for her to come out and see the travelers.

She observes their belongings which isn't much and none of them carry weapons all that stands out is the hex on Ken and Ake.

Her hand hovers over their marks and the amount of power radiating from the Hex shocks her, "I don't think it is safe to associate ourselves with these men a bind this powerful would've come from an entire coven of witches."

Ken groans and starts to wake up looking around him, "What is with witches and being such total bitches it's not like we have a choice in the matter." He stands up and stretches before taking in his surroundings.

"How is he awake?" The head master asks and the kids talk about seeing Kim use Ken's blood to heal Connor.

"They can restore the fountain and we save the plagued."

She turns to Ken who's looking around the place confused and feels an itch to burn it all down. He lowly growls and turns to the kids. "I hate kids."

"Says the only on of us with a kid." Ake stands up and kicks the other two awake ready to turn tail and leave.

"Tch, nice try Yuno told me about Kurara's pregnancy. I know you would never make that up. The Empress chose you knowing that very well. We both have kids we need to go back too. Unfortunately for me mine is not still in his mother's womb."

Ciel groans, "Exactly, lets hurry up and leave. She will kill me when I get back I never got the chance to say goodbye."

"Wait, please. We are in need of a healer and you're the only ones to come," The head master holds up two empty vials and Kim growls angry that they used hers.

"Karma's a bitch ain't she?" Ake smiles and she turns to him with an angry look on her face, "You know Kim, if you weren't so batshit I'd date you and piss you off just to see that look on your face you're so cute when you're mad too bad you need to be locked in a psychiatric hospital instead."

"You have a death wish, don't you?" Connor asks stepping away from Kim and getting distance between himself and her.

"Not at all I just think Kim here is crazy but then again it suits her."

He slings an arm over her shoulder lightly pinching her cheeks and having a casual one-sided chat while Ken gets grabbed and dragged away.

He is taken into a large tent that is clouded with incense and herbs.

"Hey, if you want me to help you have to do something for us first." Ken looks around the room full of sick people then back to the woman.

She is surprised bringing him in here didn't inspire the whole preying on his sympathies idea she had in mind.

"What is it that you want?"

"A stone, we need all 3 or we die and I think dying is not on the agenda. She kissed me before I left so I'm thinking the sooner we go back the better my chances with her."

"We cannot give you the stone it is our source of power."

"Pretty useless source given that you can't use it to save any of these people."

"No one here has an affinity for healing the stones power grants us the gift of channeling we can channel the healing in your blood to help them."

"Helping you doesn't help me and if you need it that badly I can guarantee that we'll bring it back, but I seriously need the stone as desperately as you do your healing whatever."

They go back and forth until they make a deal to let Ken take the stone for a while and bring it back.

Ken is laid down in the centre of the room full of sick people and the woman takes the stone he is looking for and channels the healing in his blood only to find out he is just a passage way to channeling Yuno which means that it won't work.

Unless she uses Ken as a passage way to connect to Yuno which will be excruciatingly painful for Yuno, but she realises that Ken doesn't know that and tries but fails.

"It is not working and I connected to the source of your healing through you, so why is it not working?"

"Her ability needs a large body of water to work but not too large as well."

She takes Ken to a small pond and tries again.

Yuno vomits and Sensen shrieks vomiting with her.

"Ewe, what the hell you guys? That's so disgusting gosh die already." Ackerman calls for the cleaning staff shoving his plate of food away he seriously did not expect that at all.

Yuno rushes to the bathroom throwing up some more and washing her face. The water makes her feel better so she fills the tub and gets in fully clothed feeling a splitting headache that Ken is feeling as well.

Ken's chest starts to burn and he groans while Yuno turns writhing in agony using her ability to make the pain go away fully submerged underwater.

She holds her breath and relaxes but since she's linked to Ken who cannot hold his breath for as long as she can she needs to constantly come up for air and every time she does she feels the never-ending pain.

The tub isn't going to do the trick she needs to go to the pool or something but she can't get up it hurts too much for her to move a muscle.

Tensho bursts in and carries Yuno to the pool after she struggles to let it out, but finally manages to finish the single word she had to utter to get help.

The Head Master lets go of Ken when his wings shoot out and his body gets covered in scales here and there.

Yuno can breathe easier but she is still confused about what is happening and Sensen can't figure out what's going on with her.

"It's Tachibana, somethings happening to him and somehow it's affecting you. Are you sure he and his sister are on a business trip?"

"He didn't say it was business Ken is very careful with his words even when he lies. He talked about coming back nothing about where he is or where he's going."

The headmaster gets her bearings in order and Channels as much energy from Yuno and Ken as she can.

Ken is Immortal but Yuno isn't if she keeps pushing so hard Yuno won't make it and Ken's transformation is proof that what she's doing is taking a heavy toll on them and her greed to try and take his Immortality is where the problem lies.

No spell, no forged weapon absolutely nothing can take the immortality of a born immortal away, not even channeling can manipulate it because it isn't magic not anymore.

Mitsuko comes back from a meeting with Setsuno who insists on being his part time chauffer sometimes. He left 

He finds Yuno and Sensen in the pool doing a light spell to disconnect Yuno from Ken, but the power source on the other side has a good grip on Yuno. Sensen realises that all she's doing is exhausting herself.

Sensen thinks as fast as she can for a solution, "Yuno heal my baby, I think they are after your healing so heal the baby while I do a pretty big spell it might also keep your mind of it."

Yuno complies while Sensen uses all her strength to put up a protective barrier on the Palace.

Ken's scales slowly recede as the Healing power flows faster and the water changes colour.

Sensen stops chanting and realises Yuno is unconscious and so is Tachibana on the other side her healing ability is on autopilot.

Ackerman helps Sensen out of the pool as Yuno floats freely her heartbeat racing in sync with Ken their bodies syncing at a molecular level.

Tori comes out running and accidentally tries to run on water only for him to drop straight in. Snow swims in after him but isn't strong enough to pull Tori out.

Tori accidentally starts kicking and screaming and freezes the water grabbing Snow by his tail freezing it too before he let's go and instinctively pushes himself upward with his ice and holds Snow in his arms as he's on the surface standing on a small portion of ice.

Ackerman gets him out Tori is just quiet and resting his head on his shoulder, he's not sure what happened, but the shock hasn't settled in yet.

"I'll take him you just focus on Yuno."

Sensen nods and waits till she feels the link between Yuno and Tachibana is broken.

"It is done." The headmaster asks the children to carry the unconscious Ken away and let him rest. She gives the sick the water and realises it's working, but not exactly.
