The dark can bring the fight

I stood in front of her not moving.

"Ok miss." I stammered out.

The woman in front of me looked at me with so much glee as she waved her hand back. Most of the monsters started to retreat a bit.

She walked forward until she was right in front of me. She put her hand on my shoulder. The world around me became a blur and suddenly we were in a grey mountain range. No trees, snow or dirt to be seen. Just solid rock and more rocks.

"What are you." She said with sudden ferocity as she grabbed my throat and lifted me up.

"You don't have a feline smell, you aren't human. You can withstand my pressure at such a low grade. What. the hell. are you?"

Her grip tightened on my throat as I strained to release myself from her grip. Clawing at her hands.

'Remove transformation'

My ears started to morph back into my head as horns started to protrude from my head. My normal ears finally came back on the side of my head. Like an elf's ear but not as long. My tail dropped all its fur as the long scaled tail swung side to side.

"Well look at you! Aren't you a specimen? "she released my neck and I collapsed down on the ground panting for breath.

She seemed to have lessened her pressure as I was now able to stand up with out too much struggle.

"Where did you come from" she poked me in the middle of my back. I turned around, her obsessive gaze stabbed my soul.

"From a small beastkin village. where are we? Why am I here?"

"Hush, we are in the dark mountain range. Located at the bottom of the demon territory. You're here because…. Because I want you here." She smiled.

Well that's not terrifying.

"Wait demon territory? Demons exist? Never mind that can I go back now?" I retorted, her presence has been giving me a headache for a while now and it's starting to take a toll on how I think. even thought the monsters seemed to have retreated, with her gone I cant say that's the case

"Hmmmm… not yet, I haven't had a conversation in decades."

"Wait who are you?" I asked taking a step away from her to try and reduce the pain. even with the lowered amount of weight the atmosphere holds, it still builds up.

"Hmm" she stalled again.

'Well that was useless'

"I'm Yamii, thank you for asking" she said with a large smile. a childish nature coming through the dark mask being held.

'NOT THE TIME TO BE CHARMED, SHE WILL KILL YOU'

I shook my head and took a step away from her again.

"Ok... Yamii, I don't know why you want me here. But can I please go back to help with the monster swarm."

She frowned, walked the distance between us and grabbed my shoulders again. The unknown pressure building back up.

"If you are able to harm me I'll let you go." She said with a mystified gaze.

'that's a dumb requirement but... ok.' I thought as I pulled out my new dagger, it's white handle shone as I raised it for a strike. A surge of energy blown from her making the atmosphere heavy once again. I gasped for air as I stared down at her. She wasn't much shorter than me but it felt like I was only an ant in comparison. My arm locked in place, unable to move. it felt as if hands were holding it up. I grit my teeth and put as much pressure into the unknown grip.

my arm couldn't move, I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself. Then I tried to swing it down again. I strained as I flung the dagger down weakly, cutting her arm. Some blood seeped from the small cut I gave her as she looked at it with shock.

"How fascinating. You get better every second I see you." She wrapped her arms around my neck and placed both palms on the back of my neck.

Her hands pushed aside my shirt as they crawled down my back. once her shoulders ran into mine, she pouted.

"Your too tall, stay there" taking her arms back she circled around to my back. I stood still like a rock, being that close to a woman combined with whatever the hell she is. It was too much stimulation and pressure on my mind.

I felt two fingers reach the middle of my back where they glided sideways. Then they dug into my back with a burning sensation.

"AAACK" I tried to move but she held me in place with her other hand.

"There, oh and one more thing." She ran around me once again frantically. Two lines on my back seemed to be on fire as I grit my teeth trying to touch it as I pushed my arms behind my back. I gave up finding that I couldn't anyways, it was probably a good thing knowing it would only hurt more if I did.

"Here, take this." She pulled out a small ring and put it on my middle finger. She squirmed afterword's.

'I have a feeling I'll have quite a few of these jewelry markings in a while' thinking as I looked down at my hand. The black ring glistened as I appraised it.

"Holy shit what the hell did you just give me?" I looked at her, the pressure around had her had disappeared once I put on the ring.

She just laughed at the response.

"Just a small item don't worry about it. You'll get plenty stronger items if that's what your worried about, but don't take this one off." She added with a serious tone.

"Okay, what are the last three effects?"

In response to that she just stared blankly, then she smiled.

"You can put your costume on or whatever it was. I'll take you back now." She told me. completely ignoring my question. I nodded as I did what she asked. I couldn't quite relax with The last three effects, they kind of scare me, there was a reason for the question marks and they displayed a threat in the last one. Never mind the godlike existence in front of me. She walked back up to me and grabbed both of my shoulders once more.

I was suddenly yanked back to the battlefield where the outbreak had continued to commence. Yamii in front of me gave me a smile.

"Get stronger soon, I would love to indulge in that power." She teased me as she gave me a kiss on the neck. Then vanished. I stood there stunned for multiple minutes. the loud banging of swords, bodies and monsters rang in the background

'Excuse me what?' Was all I could think before I was slammed aside by a large bear.

"Oh fuck I forgot about you!" I strained off the ground and summoned both of my daggers. running to the side of the bear and used my cat blade to run a large cut along the side of the bear. Swinging around once more I cut with wolfs fang as I chipped his health lower and lower. I was too fast for the bear, running around has only caused it confusion as it started to run back towards the forest.

Cats blade shone white as I heard another roar from the bear as it toppled over.

I ignored the notification as I turned to a small mutated fox and sliced in in half. Bulldozing through the smaller animals.

A boar appeared in front of me as I charged towards it, I used my leg to kick it back and went for the kill when a giant force hit me from the side. Knocking all of the air out of my lungs as I rolled over a couple of times.

standing myself back up and saw a huge wolf staring back at me as it charged forward. Its teeth bared as it ran towards me, these animals seem to have decent teamwork. I was getting ready to run to the side when a large spear punctured through its head.

"I see you're faring well" a cheery voice resounded behind me.

I turned to the voice and smiled. Hu was covered in blood as he yanked the spear as tall as him out of its head.

"I'm done great" I responded as I turned to block another attack, this time it was a large squirrel. about as large as those domesticated dogs I've seen in town. It had red fur as it launched forward again. I stabbed forward ,puncturing it in the chest. the bloodied ground was littered with bodies, mostly monsters but some guards lay under heaps of monsters. The flat terrain spanned for a while as the fight progressed.

I slashed left and right, killing monsters to just wounding them and moving on. A couple of minutes go by as a racked off kill after kill. Until I reached another large wolf, this one was pure white with ice blue eyes. His attention was on another group of knights fighting a small horde of wolves.

"OH SHIT" I screamed.

[akio for the love of god. DONT FUCKING DO ANYTHING, walk away and go fight some pigs.]

I nodded absentmindedly, of course I'm not fighting this thing, but I want to do something.

I noticed that the group of knights had finished the wolf horde rather quickly and were moving on towards the large canid. I decided to leave it to them.

I don't quite recognize anyone in that group. They charged in towards the wolf where one of them took the lead. He quickly extended his lead as he was carrying a giant axe. He threw the axe forward with immense force. The axe collided with the wolfs chest where it lodged in. It looked like it barely managed to peirce the wolfs thick pelt. Two others surrounded the wolf as it charged forward. One carrying a longsword, the other had two shorter swords. The sliced through the surface of the pelt easier than I expected.

'Seems like it's pelt is strong, but still managable.' I thought as I turned around and started to mow down a couple of weaker monsters.

Notifications rang out without stopping as I cleared through group after group of weaker monsters. Some larger phase 4 monsters were here and there but the were being handled.

I returned back to the large canid from before, it had arrows lodged into its back. Seems like the backline is supporting us from the wall. With that reassurance I looked back to the guards who were a mess. One was dead, the other two were barely standing.

The wolf was bloodied, standing and looking at them with rage.

One of the guard saw me as I walked forward.

"HELP US, HES WEAKENED." The man begged, he held on of his short swords in hand, the other lodged in the wolfs shoulder.i looked at him and nodded, taking out Cats blade I ran towards the wolf. It was still focused on the man with the longsword as he stood still, Preparing to attack. The man attacked the wolf but was swiftly slammed down as the wolf activated its mana field. A heavy weight was pushed down on my chest, I was already in the air to try and swip at the wolf.

I glided through the air as if the weight wasn't there. I used both hands to raise the dagger over my head and slammed it down into the wolf. It shook violently at the pain of being stabbed. But it's pelt was too think to cut even with the shaking. I couldn't see anything around me as it ran in circles. It was too fast, I looked straight ahead to avoid the oncoming headache of spinning around faster than I could handle. I looked at the dagger lodged into the wolf.

'Flare'

The dagger kit on fire with the blue haze as the wolf started to frantically run. The wolfs constitution was too high for the flare to affect the cut but it was slowly draining its health.

I started to lose my grip and with one final shake of the wolf I flew off colliding with a tall tree a couple hundred feet away. I felt my bones crack, luckily not broken. The canid glared at me as it ran forward with such speed that it was already before me, raising its paw. It casted mana field on me and I coughed blood, the pressure in my chest only increasing as it stared at me.

I looked back with bitterness as it was about to strike. But a loud scream interrupted us, it caused both of us to turn at the loud noise.

Fuyoko was there holding a humongous bow, almost three times the size of her as she pulled a giant arrow back. Releasing it an arrow about half the size of me blistered towards us. The monster on top of me reacted by trying to run backwards and jump out of the way. But even with 600 dexterity it couldn't move completely out of the way as the arrow lodged into the wolfs leg. It screamed as it fell down to the ground.

Fuyoko didn't stay long as she turned towards another large monster and fired again. The large horde outbreak was slowing down as the monster diminished. The large wolf lay on the group panting. Continuing to bleed out.

I lay imbedded into the group as I saw a light pulsate on the side of the wolf, with a loud screech it laid its head down dead. But the fighting isn't over yet

Pushing myself out of the ground I heard the cracks of my bones resonate as I limped forward and yanked my dagger from the side of the dead wolf.
