As the hours passed and the adrenaline from the night's events gradually faded, the group found solace in the shelter, taking a moment to breathe and regroup.
Aurora and Korig, seeking a brief escape from the collective concern, sat together in a quiet corner.
Korig broke the calm, gratitude lacing his voice.
"I can't thank you enough, Aurora."
"If it wasn't for you, I don't know what would've happened."
