MARTIAL ARTS SYSTEM CHAPTER 4

As the students make their way to their classes, Yun and his friends head to their Math class first but get stopped by Subin Yaang's gang. They escort Yun and his friends outside the school and behind an alley where Subin awaits them. The thugs separate Yun from his friends and start beating him to a pulp as his friends watch, helpless, and witness the brutality their friend is going through. Yun is badly injured and can't touch anyone, or else they'll hurt his friends if he makes a move. Subin walks up to a fallen Yun, bruised and covered in blood. As Alex and Mia watch Yun on the ground, all they can do is scream and cry their hearts out, begging them to end this brawl with Yun and leave them be. Their hearts ache from despair and torture, watching as Yun can't hold his own against them. "You'll be my new chew toy for my dogs," Subin said with a devilish smile and a notorious expression as he pulled Yun's head by the hair and was nearly unconscious. He releases Yun's head on the ground, walks away with his henchmen, and leaves Alex and Mia to rescue their friend. They rush Yun to the hospital, weeping tears until their eyes couldn't open and burned. Yun regains consciousness and wakes up in a hospital bed next to his mother and friends. As Yun moves his legs, Mia wakes up and sees Yun conscious; she wakes up his mother and Alex. Everyone is pleased and overjoyed seeing Yun awake. They help him eat, dress, and recover quickly to get discharged.

Days pass, and Yun has fully recovered from his injuries. They all leave the hospital during the evening, and everyone returns home. Yun and his mother arrive home where she prepared a home-cooked meal for him hours before his arrival. She warms up the food and serves him a plate. Yun starts chowing down on the food while having flashbacks of the event that took place in the back alley days ago with Subin and his gang. They laughed and tormented him as they also taunted his friends and made them watch while he was on the ground, powerless and unable to protect them. Yun clenches his hands into fists and gets angry. At that moment, his phone rings from the app, alerting him of a new quest. He reaches for his phone and opens the app, "New quest: Run 25 kilometers to this location and wait for further instructions." This is different from any of the quests he usually gets. He indecisively starts running to the mysterious location. While running, his phone starts blinking red light as if he is being tracked and watched without his knowledge. His phone is sending his coordinates to someone who is following his movement. "He's coming," a mysterious voice in the back, watching the monitors, whispers. Yun arrives at the location, surrounded by stray animals and debris. He opens the app, and it shows dots indicating he is close. He starts walking toward the direction of the beads, and as he continues to walk, each passing dot disappears. He is 15 meters from his location, 10, 5, and finally arrives in front of a metal door with no doorknob. He knocks on the door, waiting for someone to answer, but no one shows up. His phone rings, and he opens the app to receive the last part of his new quest. "Complete quest: 100 punches to a metal wall." Yun slowly looks up at the door as if he is about to do the impossible. Yun gets into a fighting position and launches his first punch toward the door. He punches the door, and a loud bang rings through the alley from his one punch. The number on his phone turns from 100 to 99 from the first punch. Yun feels he has broken every bone in his left hand and thinks this is an impossible quest as he slides down on the floor in despair and hopelessness. As Yun was about to give up, he closed his eyes and had a flashback of the torment and torture inflicted upon him and his friends by Subin's gang and their leader, Don Chul of The Yamaka gang. The brutal abuse ignited a flame inside Yun Qhu that was about to erupt like a rocket. He rose to his feet once more and began launching a series of punches at the door, starting with 98, then 97, 96, 95... Each punch grew stronger than the last, leaving dents on the door. His rage knew no bounds as he continued to pummel it. The flames inside him grew bigger and bigger as the door teetered on the brink of obliteration. Despite his hands being covered in blood, his skin falling off, and every bone in his hands and arms shattered to pieces from the first 99 punches, Yun did not waver. Clenching his right hand as tightly as possible despite the dire pain, he fell to his knees but quickly rose to his feet for the sake of his friends. With all his might, he pushed towards the door and delivered one final punch that caused it to tip over and fall to the other side with a resounding bang. Exhausted and with his arms completely shattered, Yun was unable to move them or reach for his phone to find out what he had received from that quest. As he walked over the iron door, he discovered that the location was an abandoned workshop that stood empty before him. Confused, Yun began to glow as his arms were miraculously healed and he felt an overwhelming surge of energy. Taking out his phone, he received the completion notification. "Quest completed! Strength stats have increased by 1.5, speed stats have increased by 2, defence stats increased by 0.5, power stats remain unchanged, durability stats increased by 1.5, IQ stats increased by 3. User stats have been updated, and user's body has enhanced." Yun felt different; although the numbers mentioned by the app seemed insignificant, they made a huge difference to his skills. As Yun continued to focus on praising his body, a camera faced him the entire time, showing live feeds of Yun to a mystery person who smiled with excitement and villainous intent...
