Chapter 7: World II

The West, a vast desert, is a place of survival and danger, where only the toughest and most resilient can hope to thrive. Adventurers and treasure hunters are drawn to this region by the promise of untold riches and ancient artefacts. But danger lurks around every corner, and only the most skilled and courageous can hope to make it out alive.

The scorching sun beats f on this barren landscape, where dunes stretch out as far as the eye can see.

Despite the harsh conditions, the West is home to a thriving community of adventurers, treasure hunters, and nomadic tribes who have adapted to life in the desert. The people of the West are tough and resourceful, relying on their skills and wits to survive in the unforgiving landscape.

The region is known for its abundance of ancient ruins and artefacts, hidden beneath the shifting sands. These relics are highly sought after by treasure hunters, who risk their lives to uncover the secrets of the past because of this the east is also the region with the most criminal activity.

Bandits and raiders roam the desert, preying on unsuspecting travellers and stealing valuable resources. The lack of centralized authority has led to the rise of powerful warlords, who control vast territories and rule over their subjects with an iron fist.

And lately, the Central region is the heart of the world, where the greatest cities and most powerful nations can be found. It is a sprawling region of urban centres, technological marvels, and towering skyscrapers that stretch up into the clouds.

The region is home to several major cities, each with its own unique culture, history, and architecture. The largest and most powerful city is the capital, known simply as "Central City." It is a bustling metropolis that serves as the centre of political power, where the most powerful and influential people in the world gather to make decisions that affect the lives of billions.

Other notable cities in the region include "Tech Haven," a city renowned for its technological advancements and innovative research; "Skyline City," a city built around massive skyscrapers that seem to reach the very heavens themselves; and "Harbor City," a major port city that serves as a hub for international trade and commerce.

Despite their differences, these cities are all connected by a vast network of highways, railways, and airways that crisscross the region. They are also linked by a shared history of innovation and progress, as well as by the looming presence of the Elite, who hold sway over the region and use their power to shape the world to their liking.

Skyline City is a bustling metropolis located in the heart of the Central region and also the city where Adam University is located. The city is known for its towering skyscrapers, bright lights, and bustling streets that never seem to sleep.

At the heart of the city lies the Central Plaza, a massive open-air square surrounded by towering buildings on all sides. It is a popular gathering spot for locals and tourists alike, with street performers, food vendors, and shops lining the perimeter.

The city is divided into several distinct neighbourhoods, each with its unique character and flavour. The Financial District is home to the city's largest corporations and banks, while the Arts District is known for its galleries, theatres, and museums.

The Residential District is where most of the city's inhabitants live, in a mix of high-rise apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes. It is a bustling and vibrant neighbourhood, filled with shops, restaurants, and parks.

But as Skyline City is known for its towering skyscrapers, luxurious apartments, and upscale shopping centres. Amidst the glittering high-rises and bustling city streets, there is a neighbourhood that seemed to be stuck in time.

Tucked away on the outskirts of the city, this neighbourhood is a stark contrast to the sleek and modern architecture that dominated the skyline. The buildings were old and rundown, with peeling paint and broken windows. The streets were lined with trash and overgrown weeds, and the air was thick with the stench of pollution.

Despite its dilapidated appearance, the neighbourhood was home to a tight-knit community of people who had lived there for generations. They had grown accustomed to the neglect and indifference of the city's officials, who seemed to have forgotten that this neighbourhood even existed.

But despite the many challenges they faced, the residents of this neighbourhood refused to give up hope. Some way ahead, tucked away in a quiet corner of the neighbourhood, was a small brick building that had seen better days. It was the orphanage where Adam was raised. He had moved into a small apartment nearby, where he could keep a watchful eye on the orphanage and be available to help the children when they needed him and to minimize the burden on the orphanage.

Adam stood up from the desk massaging his head and moved towards his window. From his window, Adam could see the children playing in the courtyard of the orphanage, their laughter echoing through the quiet streets. As he watched the children play, Adam couldn't help but think about the stark contrast between their carefree lives and the struggles faced by many in the lower class of Skyline City. Despite the advancements in technology and the prosperity of the central region, the disparity between the different classes was still a major issue.

The Elite lived in luxurious penthouses in the heart of the city, while the Middle Class resided in spacious apartments and had access to quality education and healthcare. On the other hand, the Lower Class often struggled to make ends meet, living in cramped and run-down neighbourhoods like the one Adam called home.

Adam knew that the system was flawed and that the Lower Class deserved better. He had seen firsthand the effects of poverty and oppression. The Elite had a tight grip on the political and economic systems of the world, and they weren't likely to give up their power willingly.

Adam deemed this unacceptable and felt that the Lower Class were entitled to adequate healthcare and education. He felt a deep sense of responsibility towards his community and those who were struggling to make ends meet. He believed that everyone, regardless of their background or social status, deserved a fair chance in life.
