The Last Prince
"I will not go back there," He announces.
"Are you defying me? The universe itself?" The voice echoed from beyond the clouds.
"If you are the universe itself," William questions, "what use do you have for a weak human like myself?"
"That is not for you to know," The voice evades the question, "what you have to do is decided. You will either go back to the living and serve your purpose that is decided for you or you can go and right your wrongs and come, stay here for eternity. If you succeed in righting your wrongs, that is. And that applies to all of you too."
The people gathered, including William were thirteen, all seemed lost in thought.
"I decided to do the latter." William chooses.
"Us too." A lady, tall and statuesque, announces. "But we have questions to have answered."
"Very well then." The voice agreed.

A place neither heaven nor hell, (ø), has thirteen people's souls after their death gathered.
According to a criteria unknown to anyone, chosen and brought, to fight for going back to the living. But little did God know, none of them wanted to return to the living.
So now all of them have a chance at redemption, as they get sent to the living world, to fix their mistakes. And if they successfully accomplish it, they get to stay in ø.
Who will be forced to live, and who will get to stay away from the living... each with circumstances of their own.
We can decide our course of life for the first time, all of them think. Little did they know that they were pawns in a game.
