The Milana is more a soul than a being. This soul is continually reborn within the Realm of Trannisa, and it is tasked with maintaining the balance withn the realm. Rachel was chosen when her grandmother Lanncey succumbs to corruption and the soul of the Milana enters Rachel. She had always been powerful but with the memory of the Milana she becomed inexplicable. Her entire life has been about doing what she wanted when she wanted without caring about the thoughts or cares of others around her. But what happens when the realm's tenuous balance is disrupted? What will she choose when she has to lead her realm and be beholden to a will other than her own. She has the capability, the resources, and the cohort to succeed. The question is does she want to succeed in anything, or does she just want to remain an aimless adventurer.

Angelica spoke quickly as if the words may burn her mouth. She kept her eyes forward and purposely closed herself off from her soul well.

She was acting as the judicial leader of the three houses of Lanical right now and she knew her unique connection to the Lanstra the Antrunie and to the Milana could cause her to choose sides.

She had tried to convince the council that this was not going to go well and that they needed to give the Milana time to settle in Lanical and deal with some pressing issues of the realm. She also stressed that Lanical was the home of the Antrunie with the Milana just happened to live here.

Nothing worked. The council simply became more and more adamant about the Milana heading the three houses of Lanical.
