“What do you mean I have to take responsibility by marrying you? I would rather get arrested over marrying you!” With a firm voice, she declared, glaring at the man standing in front of her. Since you took it, it's only right for you to marry me.” He calmly answered, with a smirk. “Crazy bastard…” *** Azalea's life took an unexpected turn when she kissed a stranger at the bar thinking it was going to be a one-time thing. Wifey

Azalea tapped his shoulder as she struggled to breathe, Adam was quick to react and let go of her lips. Azalea caught on her breath, as her eyes made contact with him.

"I am sorry for the sudden kiss. I just couldn't hold myself, seeing you dress like an angel." Adam apologized, regretting his decision. His eyes filled with remorse and guilt. He withdrew his arms from her waist.

Azalea gulped, biting her lower lips. She was not expecting him to be such a gentleman. Even she hasn't apologized for her forced kissing at the bar that night. Azalea shook her head, and put up a straight face, "This makes us even then." She chipped out, fixing her lipstick, and sat down on the couch.

Adam didn't argue much and went to the bathroom to get changed. He came out wearing a white shirt, and black trousers. Casual yet seemingly perfect. His jet-black hair pulled back. Azalea didn't know a normal white cotton shirt would be more majestic than any silk found in the world. She smiled, maybe it's not a bad idea to marry him. She gets a treat for a husband not that bad of a deal.

"Are you going to stare at me for the whole day?" Adam casually spoke, fixing his sleeves.

"Yeah …" Azalea blurred out without putting any thought, "Huh? No!" She quickly refuted, sending her blunder. She averted her gaze, standing up from her place and walking out of the apartment with Adam just following her, trying his best to hold on to his laughter.

Azalea just completely ignored his presence, locking the apartment door. They both took the lift downstairs where a black Mercedes was parked. Adam casually walked to the car, and drove it up to her, "Get in." He instructed opening the passenger seat for her.

Azalea already knew how big Shens were. Five families had control over the whole country and Shen was the top player. From natural resources to industry, anything that can be turned into business is under Shen conglomerate. Azalea always forgets how big Shens were with Adam's humble nature. If it was someone else they might not even talk to her. Like an onion, Adam's personality was coming into light peel by peel, and till now it's sweeter than the first layer.

"What are you pondering about? Get in." Seeing her lost in thought, Adam hooked on her. Azalea came out of her thoughts and sat down on the passenger seat, putting on the seatbelt.

"Just that I made the Shen's heir make coffee for me." Azalea joked, remembering how she praised him for becoming a barista if not a businessman earlier in the morning.

"You also steal his heart. What about that?" Adam answered, driving off.

Azalea spared a glance in his direction, frowning at his words, "That was so corny. If someone heard you they would end up thinking we are the most cringey couple out there." Azalea blurted, laughing it out. She didn't take it seriously as he already stated that it was business. Yet her heart skipped a beat hearing his corny dialogue.

"No it will be the opposite, they will be in awe and crying for a husband like me." Adam pointed, his voice filled with confidence.

Azalea snorted at his remark. She didn't try to hide her laughter at his brazen talk. " Nice confidence you got there," Azalea spoke in between her laughter.

"You think I will not?" Adam raised a brow, wondering what was so funny in his words.

"Nope." Azalea took a second to answer.

Adam scoffed in disbelief, "Let's make a bait. I will be the world's best husband and you will be the one who will tell me to my face soon." He declared, running his fingers through his hair, determined to win the bait.

Azalea just rolled her eyes and nodded to his words like agreeing to a child's challenge. Adam didn't care about her expression, he was confident that he could be the best husband she could have. He will make sure she does because that's what she deserves no less than that.

Adam slowly parked the car outside the marriage registration office, as they both walked together into the building. It only took a few minutes for them to register their marriage holding a small red booklet as proof of their marriage.

Azalea looked at the booklet, wondering if it was just a dream or if she had been hit by a meteor. She agreed to marry him. If he turns out like his ex there was no saving her.

"Congratulations, Wifey," Adam whispered from behind, giving her a scare.

Azalea looked at the man, his eyes didn't hide the joy anymore. He was in seven heavens. The way he gazed at her as if he had won a jackpot was strange. Was she that precious? Her heart just beat like crazy, telling her this was it. This was what she was waiting for. He was hers; the knight in shining armor.

"Stop calling me that." Azalea hurriedly wiped away her moments of delusion, glaring at him in annoyance.

"Stop what?" The more Azalea refutes, the more he wishes to tease her. She was like a kitten, whose love language was baring its claws. He leaned closer, watching each bit of her expression.

Azalea frowned, annoyed at his antics, "Stop calling me that!" She spoke this time, her voice raised more than before.

"I still don't understand what you mean, wifey. Stop calling you what?" Adam continued, acting innocent as if he had no idea what she was talking about.

"This! Stop calling me that!" Azalea was frustrated, glaring at him in annoyance, gritting her teeth.

"This what?"

"Wifey!" Azalea finally yelled out, furious and annoyed at him.

"But calling your wife, wifey is cute. You can call me hubby." Adam pointed, disappointment flashing in his pupil like a puppy.

"No thanks, crazy bastard suits you better." Azalea smiled, and replied in a sarcastic tone, before walking off to the car.

Adam's eyes shone in delight, "And Wifey suits you best." He declared, running after her.

Neither of them noticed the man who was intently watching from afar, and he typed out a message: Prepare a wedding gift.
