Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? My Cover Artist's Twitter is @Bombyixmori, follow if you like their work! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Warnings: 1. Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Quake's Alert

--Cole's Perspective--

---February 12th, 2446---

"I need a break!" I shouted out. Kire nodded with his arms crossed beside me and Fico sighed. Our group's complexion has improved greatly since the beginning of our first meeting. I briefly met a woman named Illya, but she disappeared permanently after a certain day, and now we're supposed to be hunting her as Fico's orders stated.

Not much else has changed, other than my strength, my tolerance for pain, and my ability improving with me over time. I had formed friendships with everybody, but the strongest one I have is with Kire.

Kire explained that his story was full of lies and murder. He used to be an upstanding person with morals that were somewhat on the good side of thinking, but that was all ripped away by the Asterios… that name has grown in significance over time, ever since I heard about the Asterio who stole it all...

Sky Asterio…

Learning Kire's story, understanding his hatred, and becoming an apprentice to him directly have changed my own wishes and strengths. I want to help Kire take on the Asterios. He's had the most patience when training me and strangely seemed to be the only true person here. Everybody else followed their personality formed when I first met them religiously, but Kire always had something different.

He was a father figure to me.

"Huh? Woah... it looks like Overlord Eirikr finally got an indication of Sky's Arrival! Let's go!" Fico shouted out. We all perked up from our fatigued states and followed her to our meeting room.

Our meeting room was in the shape of a hexagon, with a big, metallic table in the middle implanted with futuristic screens and holograms. This led us to any position we wanted to go to and acted independently from the Ocean's Edge spaceship that we were all stationed in.

"I just got this transmission, look here," Fico pointed to the screen floating above the table and we could all see what she was talking about.

[ENTITY: SKY ASTERIO]

[DNA MATCH: 71%]

[STRAND STATUS: DEITY]

"That does match pretty well... but why isn't the DNA exact? If it's the same person, wouldn't it be an exact match?" I asked Fico.

"I didn't consider this before... but why was Sky Asterio reincarnated? Who brought him back... and for what reason?" Kire asked.

Just as he asked that question, I felt intense pressure waiting outside the door leading to our room. The door opened automatically and Eirikr stood with a classic frown on his face and a blackened persona. Next to him was his personal assistant, Maiya.

"Who reincarnated Sky? What entity would you consider has enough power to do such a thing?" Overlord Eirikr asked.

We all paused, coming to the same answer at different times.

"But... your goal... our goal was to stop him from reincarnating... why would you bring him back?" Fico asked. It was bold, considering we were told to never question his decisions.

Eirikr was the most powerful and most intelligent being left alive, even more so than his brother, Genesis. If he decided to do something, it was for a reason.

"I can't believe you simpletons can't understand why Overlord Eirikr would do such a thing! Amy and I were able to come to the conclusion... can you?" Austin arrogantly admitted. We all hated him when he did this, but if he came to a solution, then it was probably a far reach...

"Excuse me, Overlord Eirikr, but could the reason have to do with his true nature as a Pure Asterio? You want his body and his DNA to ascend to a higher plane of power than the rest of us... that's why his DNA Match isn't a hundred percent because you took some of it already?" I asked.

Everybody looked at me except for Austin, who smiled.

"Looks like at least one of you is pretty intelligent. That's right, at least as correct as you could've been. I reincarnated Sky Asterio under the disguise that my sister, Illya Asterio, did it instead. She played into my hand and brought back the only Arkian strong enough to rival my strength. I know where he is, and I know how strong he is. The only reason I haven't stopped him is that he isn't strong enough to improve my strength yet. I will let it brood with the insignificant conflict on Earth until he is ready. And then... I will strike," Overlord Eirikr stated.

That was the longest I ever heard him speak...

"Then why are we doing this?! You don't think we can beat him?! We kill him, and this is over. Why are you letting us? You must truly believe that we can't do it," Fico said with a slight smirk.

"Well, of course, I don't think you can do it. If you can do it, I wouldn't need Sky Asterio's strength to improve my own, I could just use yours. By all means, give it an attempt, and see how far you get. Sky Asterio is right here," Overlord Eirikr told us.

He pointed to a desolate planet... a planet humans used to inhabit, called Earth.

In Jupiter's Orbit, where we stood right at this moment, a planet like that looks like a brown cloud of dust. When Eirikr enlarged the planet on the hologram table and zoomed into the bottom half of it, we could see... green... even more green than what was on Mars.

"Sky Asterio is here, or will be going here I should say. The hologram of brown dust I put over that planet is starting to trick people. All Five World Nations think they're the only ones left. Kire, I believe you had a run in with a girl named Nova? She can be found at one of these nations. Let that be your motivation. If you kill Sky Asterio, I will tell you which one," Overlord Eirikr said.

Kire slammed his hands on the table with a fiery passion and nodded while putting his face close to the Earth hologram.

"Then so be it. We will go there," Kire demanded.

"Fico, come with Maiya and I. We are to pay him a visit," Overlord Eirikr said. Fico didn't even question it and jumped over the table's corner to catch up with Maiya and him, leaving the rest of us at the table.
