Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Dani VS Eo

"Alatus, you have around five seconds to lead me to an open field before I flattened your city, just like Zeal did to The Scorched Isle," Eo said, summoning golden sabers out of thin air and turning to me just as I escaped from the chair I was tied to.

"Go west! Hey, you aren't really planning to fight Dani, are you?!" Alatus shouted out.

"Fight? Hell no, this isn't a fight. This is a slaughter." She said.

Faster than I could react, Eo put her hand over my face, pulled her body forward, and launched me through an open window on the hospital's third floor, just where Alatus recommended an open field.

I didn't hit anything hard on my way there, but my landing was sloppy. I slipped into the tall grass and fell to my knees, scraping my body all along the field, and even reopening the scar left on my face.

I held everything as strands slowly sprouted near my wounds and tightened them shut. I wasn't sure how to close them, but I could stop it from getting worse.

"You're a new White Stone, and new to Corruption, I don't expect you to know how to use your abilities, which is why I'm here. I am the Sixth White Stone, Dani, unless you figure things out fast, you will no longer be the newest White Stone. I will." Eo told me.

Fight... how do I fight with my abilities?

Faster than I could predict, Eo closed the distance, grabbed my neck, and threw me over her knee as she slammed it into my chest.

I wasn't sure what it truly felt like, but I'm more than certain that a few of my ribs broke over the impact.

I was launched back even further and slid on the ground again, scraping myself even more. The ground was doing more damage than she was!

Are you really going to let this slide, Dani? Don't forget who you are. I'm fast, faster than her.

Eo charged in once more with a widely swung saber, but she was far too slow this time around.

I summoned, clashed, and dismembered Eo before she could move her arm down anymore with her saber.

Squirting blood all over the field from her missing arm, she turned back toward me with a smile.

"Finally. I'd like to see more." Eo said. Her arm regenerated with a pop of her skin and she summoned a saber in that same hand.

She went fast again, but I could react...

Unfortunately, I couldn't react fast enough to summon a saber.

I won't waste time in my own brain. I knew what to do.

My White Stone shot up to the point of the saber and to my surprise, completely stopped and absorbed the saber in her hand.

Eo had a look of surprise as my fist connected with the bottom of her jaw. I split it down the middle and shattered all of her teeth, causing them to fall out of her mouth as she was sent skyward.

The muscles in my left arm tensed up beyond belief and I was left with a dull pain in my elbow after connecting the hit... but Eo suffered much worse than I did.

"So... you do have the strength, you're just too afraid to use it. You know, you may be weak against Illya, but that doesn't mean you aren't strong. You're pretty strong... but it's a shame you're too scared to use it." Eo told me.

"Too scared? Last I check, you had twenty-four teeth less than what you started at around ten seconds ago. I'll beat your ass again if I have to." I told Eo.

"You're absolutely right. You will beat my ass again. Yet... you still won't save Sky." She told me.

My heart pulsed in my head when I heard her say that.

"All that strength, and all that bark, but no bite. You won't leave a scratch on Illya with a punch like that. So, our fight ends here. Not because I'd lose here... it's because you would lose there." Eo said to me.

"You better start explaining all of this because I'm confused and I'm not having it. Tell me, how can I push Level Five?" I asked her again, but she only scrunched her eyebrows and laughed.

"Are you even Level Two yet? I mean come on, it's pretty impossible for a weak White Stone like you to surpass Two, let alone Five!" She said again.

And again, that heartbeat pulsed in my head.

"You better heal those wounds, or else you'll bleed out here. We don't want that, do we?" Eo asked me again. So many damn questions...

"I don't know how, but I don't have to worry, because you'll explain it to me," I told her, crossing my arms.

"Rule number one of a fight, is you never let your guard down." Chills shot up my spine as Eo's voice came from behind me.

Her fist was way too fast! And headed straight for my head!

Holy shit... time has never slowed down like this before...

I could think... I could see... I could process... but I can't move... is this what Sky felt?

As Eo's fist got closer and I had no solutions, I thought back to everything I knew. What could I do to deflect that punch?

I can't redirect it, not with that power... what do I do? How do I stop it? I can't stop that!

I looked toward my Stone as if it would deflect... but I didn't have that ability, my Stone can't mimic Sky's...

Shit! What do I do?!

Think Dani... think!

Get away... move... replace... switch... push... push...?

When I was first diving into Corruption... didn't I push away her attempt to put her hands on me?

How did I do that...? Can I do it again?

I focused everything I had with a frown fully covering my face and stared deep into her wrist.

[System Corruption: Level Two]

[Strand Growth Found!]

Those strands... those weird things that were visible to everybody when Sky healed his body or summoned his sabers... I can see them.

Flowing into Eo's hand.

They were slight and almost invisible... but they were brightly shining in the light of my white stone.

And then... I made eye contact with Eo.

And just like magic.

Her wrist twisted inside out, pushing to the right, and her whole body was viciously thrown in that direction. She bent gravity like it was nothing and it snapped her spine with an audible noise that filled my ears with an unpleasant shriek.

Eo was sprawled out on the field after I pushed away her attack and she laid there for thirty seconds before getting back up.

I panted as I felt fatigue set in over my body and looked back up at her with a confused look. What did I just do?
