Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Charlie VS Asoh

"Don't make me take it by force, I've been waiting to fight you," Asoh told me, stretching her muscles.

"You seem to be ignorantly cocky, so I'll put that to rest," I said, brandishing the scalpel.

Asoh had no visible weapons on her, and the scene around us didn't include any sharp objects or weapons at all. She was going to use her fists, but it wouldn't be enough.

Sky wasn't the only one improving over the past nine days.

I had been training alongside him during all of our days together. I'm pretty accurate, and I'm good with a sword. All things I had been trying to exponentially push in order to keep up with my leader.

Asoh charged at me with her fist cocked back, going for an easily predictable punch.

To let down her guard, I let her swing at my head first. She wasn't ready for my stupidity and my easy attack, so she didn't follow through with the initial strike.

With her confused nature and her punches, I slid the scalpel down the length of her forearm and kicked her in the side to push her into a potted plant.

The pot shattered and she stood up with a shard of ceramic in her hand, with the tip pointed at me.

"I hope you realize that The Queen doesn't care if you're dead or alive!" Asoh shouted out, flicking the blood off of her forearm.

"Do you know who does care if I'm dead or alive? My leader, Sky Asterio, and he doesn't hesitate when it comes to killing women," I told Asoh.

"How flattering, is he single?" Asoh sarcastically asked, flipping the broken ceramic pot shard around in her hand.

"You don't want that enemy either," I shortly said.

Asoh went in for a quick attack by bending her elbow out toward her shoulder blade. With that angle, she wouldn't try for a stab, she would try for a slash, a faint, and then a stab to the throat.

She really was trying to kill me.

Asoh acted like she was going to stab me in the face, but right as she got close to me with the tip of the pot, she bent her elbow back in the opposite direction, leaving her other forearm open for my attack.

I slid the scalpel up her arm and then punched her in the stomach. She dropped the piece of the pot and with a simple kick to the side of her body, she bounced off the side of the wall with blood flying all around her.

The look of hatred on her face was starting to rise up from the ground and she actually began to smile.

"Oh wow, you're actually pissing me off," Asoh said.

"I feel like that's a corny line for when you're getting your ass beat by the person you didn't think was strong enough. I already told you, Asoh. You may have been a soldier, but you haven't seen war like I have, have you?" I asked again. She seemed personally attacked by that, but even she could see my pathetic attempt to instigate a thoughtless attack.

"You must really want me to beat your ass," She said once more, running at me again.

Her punches were quick but stopped short of my body. I wondered what she was doing until she hit me with three punches, one in the stomach, one in the shoulder, and one in the chest.

"Jertachi!" She shouted out.

I was confused by what she said at first, but when I heard those words, I felt an incessant need to drink water...

But it was only after she shouted it, and only for a mere second.

That second was enough because I took a hit to the face that almost knocked my lights out.

I caught her fist as it left my face, wrapped my leg around her head, and flipped her into the wall once more.

I must've hit her harder because Asoh smacked into the wall and crashed into another plant, but she didn't get up for another second.

"How... are you immune to the Jertachi...?" She asked me.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but you should stay down and let me find my way back to my cell," I told her. Asoh slowly pushed her body back up and I kicked her in the stomach to send her back to the floor.

"Yeah, I'm not letting you get up, please understand that. You can stay down, or take internal damage to your organs," I told her.

"I've never met a man who could withstand the pressure from Jertachi... why can you do that?" She asked again.

"Are you talking about that thing that made me thirsty? What was that?" I asked her, putting the scalpel back into my pocket.

I hadn't realized it, but I felt no fatigue in my right leg either... this prosthetic was quite the tool.

"It's an attack meant to amplify your need for necessities, like sleep, hunger, thirst, everything like that. Thirst is the lowest tier, and only feeling it for a second is less powerful than a child's first time using it," Asoh groaned, holding her arms that were still bleeding on the ground.

"That looks bad, you should get that checked out. I hear there's a pretty good doctor around here. Do you know how to get back?" I asked Asoh.

"Go back through the door, take a trip, maybe you'll find out," She told me, but I wouldn't take that for an answer.

"Sure thing, right after I do this," I told her, grabbing her collar and dragging her toward the window.

"Get off me! Stop!" She shouted out.

"After I beat your ass, you should know that unless you answer me, nothing will stop me from defenestrating you," I told her.

"What the hell does that word mean?!" She shouted in valid confusion.

"To throw you out of a window. I learned that from a friend named Troy, one you tore me away from. Isn't that awesome?" I asked her.

I put her head out of the window and Asoh screamed, telling me that she would explain how to get back to the cell I belonged to.

"That's it? Just enter the office again and walk out? Why did I end up here then?" I asked Asoh, pushing her body out from near the window.

"Sometimes that happens in Ultima Tower. Now, leave me and go back, for the love of God..." She said, holding her arms with tears in her eyes.

She was still a person who could feel pain, but I didn't regret fighting her here. Now she knows the only edge she had over me was the element of surprise, and now that I feel threatened by this environment, she would never have that over me again.

Asoh was as good as beat.
