Germany, Berlin, Charite Medical College Laboratory.
Professor Mainshtan was extremely excited. After bringing back from China the protein factors that could activate muscle spatial orientation genes, he couldn't wait to start experimenting in the laboratory. Now, through the transparent outer shell, one could see pea-sized muscles inside the cultivator.
What cute little fellows, Professor Mainshtan thought as he looked at the "little peas" in several cultivators, almost going so far as to kiss them.
He could no longer wait for the muscles to grow a bit bigger. He wanted to thoroughly study these little things to find out exactly what they were.
With the help of his assistant, he carefully used special tweezers to extract a tiny "pea" from inside, and then prepared an ultra-thin tissue section to observe under the microscope, to see what structure these things really had.
