Joining the Quin Zaza!

My eyes locked on the screen, and I decided after some thought that I should pick one. Shortly after, a definition option appeared below every box, and I tapped on the definition box of each one and got an excellent read of individual ability.

Fighting instinct was a gift a small number have people; it's innate. Those blessed with this talent have a natural aptitude for fighting in any combat by overcoming limitations and adapting techniques or methods to ensure victory over their enemies. They adapt perfectly to all factors, achieving maximum offense, defense, evasion, and countering efficiency, ensuring optimal success as long as there is a chance to win. Those gifted with this ability can also resist fear.

Reading the other two choices' descriptions, I noticed they were, in fact, way better than fighting instinct, the box that caught my eye was killer instinct. The report read that those born with this gift have the capability that enables them to be the ultimate killing machine.

They can kill by any means in the most effective way possible. Use anything in hand to do so, and Weighing my options, I decided on choosing killing instinct. I pressed the button with my finger, the screen shortly disappeared from existence, and shadows again accompanied me. A split second later, I lost consciousness. I felt like I was sinking into a warm hug, and there was this heaviness on my chest. It was hard to explain the sensation.

I felt the sun's heat touch my skin as I opened my eyes and slowly looked around. I noticed I was surrounded by a barren wasteland only filled with sand. A couple of bushes and shrubs littered the area giving it a hint of color. Once again, being thrown into such a predicament, I felt eerily calm. It made sense in my head.

Thanks to my time in the void to master my emotions. With the enhancement in my mental control, most likely from my killer instinct talent, I felt at peace with my being. Slowly looking at myself, I noticed my body was a lot younger, and my skin was smooth and still the rich dark brown hue it had always been. My clothes consisted of an old white tunic. And brown trousers. Standing up, I dusted myself off. Getting a better view of the area, I noticed a small town in the distance and started walking toward it.

I ended up passing by a couple of men on horses. They wore some cloth as headwear blocking my view of their faces. They looked at me with curiosity but kept moving forward, ignoring me walking by.

A flip switched in my brain as I saw them pass by, and it felt weird. I Observed the men's behavior and appearance, and my mind came up with multiple plans to kill them in the most effective way possible.

I quietly let the men pass by before continuing on my way. Eventually, reaching the city, I saw a long line of people leading into an area outside the perimeter.

A large ship docked on the ground. On top of the vessel was a massive cigar-shaped balloon, which was white. Just below the ballon was the part of the vessel that looked like a ship. The ship was a light red, most likely dulled from the weather in the sky.

My eyebrows slightly rose, instantly recognizing the ship. That's the Quin Zaza from Drifting dragons. So I must be in the drifting dragon's universe. Strange, that was the last anime I watched before being sent to the void.

Staring at the ship for a bit longer, I decided I wanted to join the crew and hunt dragons, and I didn't put too much thought into it. I decided fast because I had already realized what held me back in my past life. I wanted to go on adventures, so I would watch anime because, to be frank, life on earth was very dull. I didn't want to work at a job I didn't like for the rest of my life, but I stuck to it through social pressure and not wanting to let down my family. However, now that I had let go of all my fears and anxieties, I could live for myself, which felt damn good. Many residents of the village passed me on the way. Most would look at me with interest, nothing more. However, some would look at me disgusted, probably because of my chocolate skin tone and hair texture. I had medium-length kinky curls that would fall over my eyes. While reading the manga, I didn't see a single black person, so we probably don't exist in this world. I guess I'm one of a kind.

The smell of freshly cooked meat spread through the air members of the Quin Zaza had been working hard and selling dragon meat. They caught it some time ago. Looking at this scene gave me a sense of Deja Vu. It was almost exactly like the anime, but it was true-to-life. They didn't look like pixels on a screen. I saw a girl around working. She seemed to be a part of the crew. She was very short and had a head full of ginger hair and a bright smile with brown eyes. I walked up to her and tapped on her shoulder. The girl, in response, jumped from my touch and spun around; she looked at me, startled.

"Can you lead me to your ship captain?." I asked after getting her attention.

"Sure, follow me," she responded with a smile. She grabbed my hand, leading me through the many villagers purchasing dragon meat towards the Airship. Soon we approached a very tall man with a ruff-looking ebony beard and short hair.

"Gibbs, this guy wants to ask you something, so I lead him here." the girl who led me here spoke up, getting his attention.

The man called Gibbs turned around from doing his work on the dragon. He looked at the girl before looking at me and asking. "Anything I can help you with, young man?"

"Can I join your Draking ship?" I asked calmly.

The girl and the man's eyes widened in surprise before looking at me. The man rubbed his chin and sighed before saying, "kid, it's not a promising career. Maybe you should look for other jobs before joining a Draking ship."

"I have, and nothing suits me. I want to try searching the skies." I said immediately in a steady but firm tone. My eyes sparkled with determination.

Gibbs looked at me for a while before sighing and speaking. "Kid, I have to talk this over with the vice-captain, but don't think this job will be easy, alright."

"I understand," I replied with determination.
