Chapter 7 - 3rd layer of the Common Law Warrior stage (II)

These people, were actually the Core Elders of the sect that stood from the third-layer of Mortal Law Warrior stage to the ninth-layer of Mortal Law Warrior stage, while the dignified person that stood before them and exuded an intimidating aura of unseen fiery power from his whole body, was the Sect Master called He Yang, a cultivator at the ninth layer of Earthly Law Saint, which made him one of the strongest cultivation expert in Prosper City as experts at his level and stage can only be counted on one hand.

"Sect Master He Yang, we want to report the drastic decrease in the number of Outer Court Disciples of our sect."

"At least, we have lost close to ten percent of them." A bald, middle-aged elder called Qian Tian, said with unhappiness in his tone. He had the highest cultivation of all the Core Elders gathered here.

"What?! And what do you think could be causing this?" Sect Master He Yang asked with his brows furrowed.

Actually, any Outer Court Disciple that got killed was a matter of really less severity to him. But upon hearing that about ten percent of them had been killed, he couldn't help but furrow his brows in slight worry, as this kind of development could adversely affect the growth of his sect and ruin the great reputation that they had built and sustained over the years.

Once Sect Master He Yang asked that, the Core Elder who was reporting the figures to him and was called Qian Tian, replied after a few moments of deep contemplation, "I think some hidden factions in the city, or from neighboring cities who are totally envious of our grandness, illustriousness and prestige, could be the actual culprits of this."

"Their more powerful senior disciples must have banded together to secretly attack or ambush the Outer Court Disciples of our sect who were sent out to different regions within the outskirts of the city to gather assorted cultivation resources. And their objective must be to stop younglings that are aspiring to study at our sect from coming over once it's time for the disciple qualification exam."

"Hmm." Sect Master He Yang uttered with a calm expression surfacing in his face. No one could know or guess what he was thinking.

Then a second later, he looked at the Core Elders and said, "Starting this hour, anytime you send any Outer Court Disciple out to gather resources or to purchase items from certain shops for the sect, have an elder from the sect secretly accompany them. Then once they are in trouble or are being ambushed by enemy groups, the elder will come forward to rescue them. Am I clear?"

"Yes, Sect Master He Yang." The Core Elders said with the nod of their heads.

Sect Master He Yang then stood from his seat and said with intense coldness emitting from the depth of his unfathomably deep eyes, "As for those hidden scheming worms that you spoke about, they will surely meet with a terrible fate, I assure you."

Once he said that and without waiting for any of the Core Elders to say anything, Sect Master He Yang suddenly disappeared before them.

However, he actually didn't vanish like anyone would think, he simply utilized a powerful movement technique that caused him to seemingly vanish before the elders.

"Sect Master He Yang has returned to his room to continue his cultivation. We can all leave now. The meeting has come to an end." Qian Tian said and then stood to his feet to leave the room, while the other elders agreed and followed behind him to return to their respective rooms in the sects where they would resume their cultivation, or the comprehension of certain arts that they religiously studied to gain a higher-level enlightenment.

...

Several hundred miles away from the Great Dragon-Elephant sect, a young handsome boy who wore a particular tattered and ripped uniform that was stained heavily with blood, but was doing his utmost best to cultivate, suddenly opened his eyes with a bright glow of happiness emitting from their depths.

"I thought as much that I will break through into the third layer of the Common Law Warrior stage if I continued to cultivate." Sun Kang said and stood to his feet from his cross-legged position on the ground.

He then closed his eyes to look inwardly at his dantian. Immediately he did so, he could see a mountainous bundle of thick threads of a clear and dense, violet-colored Origin Energy circulating about within his dantian.

"Wow! My Origin Energy looks really dense and feels so thick, instead of the usual thin and hazy mist-like appearance that it is supposed to take upon reaching the third layer of Common Law Warrior."

"But the cultivation method for that sword art is tremendously powerful. Well, what can one expect? It's a method designed by a Sovereign expert who was the strongest and most formidable in his own time." Sun Kang said with a delighted glow in his eyes as he gazed sharply at the Origin Energy pulsing within his dantian.

Then with a single thought, he commanded a single tiny thread of that Origin Energy to move to his palm.

The instant the small thread of violet-colored Origin Energy surfaced above his palm and began to dance like a flame in the wind, shocking pulses of power began to radiate from it.

As soon as this happened, the air around him began to churn in a raging manner that it swept up large amounts of dust into the atmosphere.

Still dancing like a flame above his hand and incessantly emitting pulses of astonishing power, Sun Kang immediately dashed towards a distant wall of the cave. He then slapped that palm unto it with little to no physical force.

BOOM!

The large wall of the cave instantly disintegrated into dust upon making contact with that wisp of Origin Energy that floated above Sun Kang's palm.

"Awesome! The power of this simple attack can actually be compared to the basic attack of a fifth-layer, Common Law Warrior stage cultivator." Sun Kang said as he studied the degree of destruction that he brought about using that small wisp of energy.

He then said said further, "Once I am able to practice battle techniques from the Severance Sword art, I will be able to unleash a higher level of destructive power."

The instant Sun Kang said up to here, he nodded his head with a delighted expression appearing in his face. He then prepared to head out of the cave.

And as he did so, he muttered within himself, 'Before I will finally ascend back to the Blessed Tyrant Planet in the future, I will make sure my name, Sun Kang, is known to all the folks that inhabit this planet.'

"The birds of the air and even the smallest beasts that live within the ground and in the seas, shall know and tremble before the slightest whisper of my name." Sun Kang said with a great and insurmountable determination appearing in his eyes that gazed piercingly at the air.
