C424. The Siege 2

The mage smiled sinisterly as he noticed the spells flying past him as he descended to the walls, he hadn't deployed any spells of his own and simply kept flying towards the army on the wall.

'I don't sense any mana fluctuations from him. Is he planning on engaging us in close combat as a mage? Something feels off.'

As though to concur with Aurora's thoughts, another wave of spells was sent out towards the four mages and the archers had begun to aim at the army in the distance.

Spells bombarded the mages in the sky with all sorts of effects but the the magic circle on the ground never disappeared. The archers let loose their arrows and it rained upon one-fourth of the distant army but most of the arrows missed their mark, others were blocked and deflected with only a few injuring their opponents.

The Earl felt a chill down his spine. They had completely failed to reduce the enemies' numbers by even a little.
