Their presence there commanded attention and her father's piercing gaze left no room for argument only obedience and they all knew that very well and bowed their heads in respect to the royal family and they all went up to the center stage of the arena, where there were a few other royals, who were waiting for their arrival and they greeted each other.
After they finished exchanging pleasantries with the others, the king stepped forward to speak and begin the opening. while the queen stood behind and the kids lined up in order beside her from oldest to youngest, as it should be and they held their heads high, especially Violet, not caring about what others thought about her anymore, only about what she needed to do.
She noticed a few people gossiping but did not care about it since she knew one thing that was true, people who gossip only do it, to make themselves feel better, to hide their own insecurities because deep down, they know they are not better.
Kei and Xania as well as the king, glanced at Violet, knowing some people were surprised to see her there, since she never really went to much public events in the past.
The king returned back his attention to the task at hand since he had to finish the opening in order for them to fully focus on the event.
He began his speech to the audience, explaining the significance of the event and what the completion of it would mean to them all, the possibility of gaining a supreme leader to sit on the legendary throne, one which had been abandoned for many years, with no successor.
Talking about the throne was a sensitive topic, but one that everyone wanted to her and was interested in, no matter how long it may take.
Violet listened closely to what her father was saying, since she will need every little bit of information available to her in order to move forward on the path, she had chosen for herself, one which was going to be difficult.
Everyone listened tentatively to what the king was saying about the event which was only now minutes away from being officially started and a lot were excited, despite of how much danger they would be putting themselves in, since everyone wanted one thing and that was rise to a length they had never been before, to rise to the top.
As Violet was paying attention to what her father was saying, she noticed that her attention was being pulled to a sound that she was hearing, which was very similar to a growl and her brows furrowed, wondering what it was and if she was starting to get a bit paranoid.
Little did she knew, she was not and the growling sound was that of an old friend with a piece of advice, an old friend who was trying to get her undivided attention even if it was just for a few minutes.
'What the hell is wrong with me again?' Violet wondered as she tried to keep her attention on her father and every detail he was saying about the event as well as a bit of information of the throne, that he added in between, since not many really knew much about it and he was only giving information, that was a need to know and nothing more than that.
She took a deep breath and Xania glanced at her with his brows furrowed as he wondered why she was distracted at this important moment and he patted her shoulder and she forced herself to focus more, on what her father was saying.
"Violet.... Pay attention closely to what I am about to tell you, this is of at most important and will help you when the selection begins," A voice said to her, one that only she could hear, in her head, and she gritted her teeth, wondering why she was hearing it in the first place, as well as who it was.
'Who the hell are you and what do you want?' She wondered, knowing that whoever it was, could well and hear what she was thinking at the time.
"Don't worry, just relax, I mean no harm to you, that much you can be certain about, I am a friend of Xania's, will you listen to me now?" The one asked and her brows furrowed as she glanced at Xania, who was casually floating around in the air, with nothing to do in the world and she sighed.
'I am listening, so how can I help you?' She wondered.
"It's not to help me actually but to help you, that is why I am risking speak to you even without showing myself, we have met before, but you won't remember that, you can call it in a dream, I heard you are joining the event, you know how dangerous it is, but have you been wondering about the recent increase of those creatures?" The voice asked.
Upon hearing that, her brows furrowed since she remembered hearing of it, more than one time before but never quite paid much attention to it, since they would have all been taken care of as they showed up anyways.
'Yes, I actually have been curious about that... Don't tell me it's all in aligned to the throne? It's all connected?' She wondered.
"Precisely, you are catching on fast, those who sit on that throne is above many others, even hundreds of years old mages, the power struggle was there but now with this event it will get worse, this is where part of the real fight begins, there is a lot more to what is happening than you know, people are even involved, don't trust people easily and one more thing...." He added and her brows furrowed, as she listened carefully.
'What is it?' She asked.
"During this event many changes will occur, especially with you, if you want to rise, unlock half of your abilities and push forward, don't let anyone stand in your way, upon reaching a point, call out a name, it will come to you naturally when the time is right, there is a meeting impending, one which was promised, good luck, Violet," He said an her brows furrowed, as she processed what she had just heard.
