Part 39

Third Person's POV

The next day, Josh, Justen, Nathan, and Cameron all met up in Justen's normal spot.

"How was your guys' night?" Cameron asked.

"Oh, you know," Josh said, a light blush appearing on his face.

"Did something happen?" Nathan asked, looking at Justen and Josh.

"Nothing out of the normal," Justen said.

"Did you two get back together?!" Nathan asked, excited.

"Yeah," Josh and Justen said in unison.

"Yes! My ship is back together!" Nathan cheered.

Justen laughed and shook his head as Josh hid his red face behind his hands.

"What about my ship?" Cameron asked Nathan.

"What are you talking about?" Nathan asked, pretending to not know what Cameron was hinting towards.

"You and Holly," Cameron said, making Josh look up and Nathan's face turn red.

"Now it's your turn to be embarrassed," Josh smirked.

"Have you asked her out yet?" Justen asked. "It's been a week since I told you to."

"Wait, you are rooting for him and Holly too?" Josh asked.

"Duh! Everyone in the school wants them to get together," Justen said.

"So, have you asked her?" Cameron asked.

"No," Nathan said.

"Why not? Scared she'll reject you?" Josh asked.

"No, I just know that she can do so much better than me," Nathan said.

"Okay, one, any girl would be lucky to have you. Two, a little birdie told me that Holly has liked you since freshman year," Cameron said.

"Is the birdie's name Bridget?" Nathan asked.

"Maybe," Cameron said, stretching the word out.

"Do you and her have girl talks?" Nathan asked.

"This isn't about me and Bridget," Cameron blushed. "This is about you getting the balls to ask Holly out."

"Who said I didn't have the balls?" Nathan said.

"Everyone!" Josh and Justen said in unison.

"Fine, I'll ask her out when I see her today," Nathan said.

"Well, get ready to ask because Holly and Bridget are coming right this way," Justen said, watching the two girls walk towards the four boys.

"Seriously?!" Nathan asked. "Just my luck."

"Hey boys," Bridget smiled. "How are you all doing?"

"Good. How about you two," Cameron said.

"Would be better if someone got the balls to do something," Bridget said, hinting at Nathan asking Holly to be his girlfriend.

"Bridget, stop hinting that I should steal the answer key, it's not going to happen!" Holly said, rolling her eyes.

"Not what I meant but if you want to get the balls to do that then go right ahead, less work for a test," Bridget laughed.

"Actually, Bridget was telling me that I need to get the balls to do something," Nathan said.

"What do you need to do?" Holly asked.

"Can you come over here with me for a second?" Nathan asked.

Holly nodded and followed Nathan to a place where the two could be alone.

"I've been wanting to ask you this for a really long time, but never had the guts to ask you," Nathan said.

"You know you can ask me anything, right?" Holly said.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Nathan asked.

Holly said nothing, she only stared at the nervous male standing in front of her.

"You're not responding. Shit, I knew I shouldn't have asked," Nathan said, beginning to ramble.

"Nathan," Holly said, cutting him off from his rambling. "I would love to be your girlfriend."

Nathan looked at Holly. "Seriously? Like, no joke?" Nathan asked.

"I wouldn't joke about something like this," Holly said.

"So you're my girlfriend now," Nathan said. "Does that mean I can call you those cute names?"

"Like what? Babe? Baby?" Holly asked.

"Like sugar, and honey, and sweetheart," Nathan said, choosing really genuine nicknames.

"Only if you keep nice names like those," Holly winked. "Now come on, we need to get back to the rest of the group."
