Part 36

Third Person's POV

At lunch, Nathan went to find Justen. Once Nathan had his lunch, he found Justen sitting at a table by the trash.

"Hey," Nathan said, sitting by Justen.

"What do you want?" Justen asked, not even looking up at Nathan.

"Whoa, chill," Nathan said.

"Fine," Justen said, finally looking up at Nathan. "What can I help you with?"

"I just wanted to ask you a few questions," Nathan said.

"What is this, an interrogation?" Justen asked, rolling his eyes.

"No, I just was interested in something," Nathan said.

"Fine, ask your questions," Justen said, clearly annoyed with me.

"Why did you break up with Josh?" Nathan asked.

Justen glared at Nathan before forcefully getting up from the table and walking away. Nathan followed Justen until Justen stopped and turned around.

"What do you want from me?!" Justen asked.

"I need your help," Nathan said.

"With what?!" Justen asked.

"Josh," Nathan said.

"What do you mean?" Justen asked.

"Josh hasn't been doing this best since you two split. He's mad right now but later he'll be sad," Nathan said. "Josh really cares about you and I don't know how long he'll be able to go without you."

Justen sighed. "I don't think I can help you with that," he said.

"Please?" Nathan asked. "I can't stand seeing him like this."

"Like what? Mad? Angry? Pissed?" Justen asked.

"You know that Josh won't stay mad at you," Nathan said.

"I know," Justen said. "I just want to give both myself and him some time to cool off."

"Alright," Nathan said. "I'm going to go hang out with Holly... unless you'd like me to stay here with you."

"No, you go ahead and hang out with your girl," Justen said, with a slight smirk.

"She's not my girl," Nathan said with a blush.

"Not yet anyway," Justen said. "When do you plan on asking her anyway?"

Nathan's face went a bright red.

"Are you going to ask her soon?" Justen teased, forgetting about Josh as he did so.

"Maybe," Nathan said.

"You should ask her soon before someone else takes her," Justen said.

"How do I ask her though?" Nathan asked.

"Just send it," Justen said. "If she really likes you, she'll say yes."

"Okay, thanks," Nathan said. "How did you and Josh become a couple? Like, who asked who?"

"He asked me in the cheesiest way ever," Justen said with a smile, remembering how Josh asked him to be his boyfriend.

"How did he ask you?" Nathan asked.

"He just overdramatically asked me if I'd like to be his boyfriend," Justen said. "It was actually really cute."

"Where did he ask you?" Nathan asked.

"At my and his special spot. I had never been happier," Justen said before he sighed. "I really wish I didn't have to break up with him."

"Why did you then?" Nathan asked.

"My dad isn't exactly the nicest guy, and neither is Josh's," Justen said. "My dad practically forced me to break up with Josh."

"How did he force you to?" Nathan asked.

"That's classified," Justen said.

"Sorry, I probably crossed the line there," Nathan said.

"Yeah, you did," Justen said.

"Sorry," Nathan said again. "I'm going to head back to the lunchroom, I'll see you around?"

"Yeah," Justen said, faking a smile. "I'll see you around."

Nathan began to walk away before he turned around. "Just remember, Josh can't stay mad at you," Nathan said before he walked away and disappeared from Justen's view.
