Chapter 19: Golden Liquid

Next Morning Qin Chen went to pill palace and purchased fifteen types of herbs, which old dragon had asked him to purchase for his chances of his hidden meridian opening. Other than herbs he also purchased a vile of Bright Smiting Luan (a bird containing bloodline of fire phoenix) and three liter of ruby fire bird, and three drops of Luan Feng's blood. After purchasing appropriate herbs, he went to dean Feng's office.

In Dean's office there was an elderly man in red robes with a cauldron which had nine stars, other than dean Feng and Professor Liang.

At this moment old man spoke with a smile, "you are Qin Chen? You really have courage to refine your body with phoenix flames."

Dean Feng introduced, "Qin Chen this is palace master Tao Jun, he is palace master of pill palace. He is also master of elder Ma Jiang. He is an emperor rank alchemist."

At this moment professor Liang interjected, "Little Chen old Jun has four-way phoenix cauldron martial spirit which can produce phoenix flames. On top of that he is also an alchemist, and his flames are purer, so I asked him to help you in your body refinement. Now start whatever you want to do."

Palace master released his martial spirit. It was a fiery red cauldron with four soaring phoenixes on four sides making its four handles and eight legs. In it was a golden red fire burning fiercely. It was legendary phoenix flames.

Slowly Qin Chen made his way toward cauldron. First, he poured three liters of ruby fire bird's blood and a vile of bright smiting Luan's blood he prepared beforehand in his backpack. When three people in room saw his actions, they became confused. Palace master Tao controlled flames according to Qin Chen's instructions.

Obviously, Qin Chen could not have known anything about this recipe, neither he can sense changes in flame intensity. It was all old dragon's instructions which Qin Chen followed.

After blood of ruby fire bird and bright smiting Luan reached a specific thickness, Qin Chen added three hundred years old blood ginseng, 100 years old phoenix feather leaves, a drop of 10,000-year-old ice marrow, two Celestial sunflower seeds and a meter long ghost vine which had been growing for three hundred and fifty years along with some supplementary herbs.

Seeing these precious materials three peoples were astonished. Professor Liang murmured, "I didn't know my disciple was this rich. I need to remind him about filial piety."

When Dean Feng and palace master Tao heard what she said their mouths twitched. The most astonished was Palace Master Tao. He can't make heads or tails of what Qin Chen was doing, but he knew that this was an amazing recipe. He felt blood present in cauldron become pure with time.

Two hours passed like that, and a golden sheen appeared in this blood. At this moment Qin Chen added a drop of Luan Feng's blood. Luan Feng was a branch family of phoenix and can be found in milky way galaxy. As Luan Feng's blood entered the cauldron, simmering blood erupted like it was happy cheering for a superior. After five minutes the blood had nearly turned golden at this moment old dragon's voice sounded in Qin Chen's mind.

"Qin Chen add a drop of your blood essence in cauldron. World tree's aura in your blood will help lack of vitality and your bloodline aura will suppress phoenix blood so that it can assimilate in your body."

Qin Chen complied and asked professor Liang to extract a drop of his blood essence, as he was still at body training stage so he can't do it himself.

Professor Liang looked at him with weird expressions but still did as Qin Chen asked.

Qin Chen's blood essence was although red but had green and grey light shining around it. Three people in room could feel a huge amount of vitality in this drop of blood essence. There was also an ancient and desolate aura present in it.

Qin Chen quickly added the blood essence in cauldron. Golden blood in cauldron quieted down instantly as if met an emperor.

Seeing this scene professor Liang and dean Feng was astonished. While palace master Tai's eyes were shining. He instantly praised.

"Amazing, really amazing. This elixir has such a large amount of vitality and blood energy, what are you going to do with it, Qin Chen. Can you give me its formula."

Qin Chen bowed and replied politely, "Palace Master Tai you have seen the whole process and you yourself controlled the flames so I don't have to tell this formula you can use it."

Palace master was nearly jumping with joy. He was a peak level alchemist just a step away from ascension. He had achieved his emperor rank with alchemy Dao, so he can't ascend unless he breaks though his bottleneck in alchemy. But Qin Chen's next sentence poured a bucket of cold water on him.

"But if anyone other than me try to use this, even an emperor will explode."

"But why" Asked palace master Tai with downcast mood.

"Because it looks like it has vitality, but it also has destructive nature of phoenix flame due to phoenix blood extracted from these beast bloods. My martial spirit is unique and ca supply me life energy continuously and it also contain my blood essence so it will not cause any harm."

After listening, Palace master tai realized why Qin Chen didn't hesitate to show him whole process of concoction.

Dean Feng and Professor Liang laughed out loud.

Qin Chen said. "Now I am going to refine my body, when my martial spirit appear palace master Tai have to release phoenix flames."

"Now I'll leave myself in palace master Tai's care" Qin Chen grinned.

After saying that Qin Chen jumped into cauldron and yelped with pain.

When professor Liang saw this, he shook his head, "this child is too hasty."

Palace master Tai said seriously sweeping away his depressed mood, "he is a child after all. I don't know what will happen to these two brothers in future. I just hope they won't be led astray from correct path."

At this moment a green crystal appeared above Qin Chen's head. Seeing this palace master Tai got ready to release phoenix flames and Professor Liang said, "old Tai if anything happens to little Chen, you'll die a horrible death."

Palace master Tai shuddered when he heard this but quickly steadied himself and released phoenix flames.
