The Celebration After Victory

After hearing Charle's premonition, Polyushka couldn't help but feel a shadow of unease in her heart. Although she didn't understand what kind of enemy would appear in the capital, according to Charle, something unexpected was likely to happen.

Charle felt terrible. Why did she always have to see these terrifying visions? Last time on Tenrou Island, she saw Calvin's death, and now, just after his recent return, she was seeing more visions about his future.

Fortunately, this time, Charle saw that although Calvin was in a fierce battle, there was no vision of his death. However, even such a powerful mage like Calvin fighting so brutally made her wonder just how terrifyingly strong the enemy would be this time.

Luckily, Charle hadn't seen Calvin's performance today. Otherwise, her anxiety might have escalated to a level where she couldn't eat or sleep.

Seeing Charle's uneasy expression, Polyushka couldn't help but comfort her, "Don't worry, Crocus has gathered the nation's top mage guilds. No matter what happens, everything will be fine."

This was probably the first time Polyushka had comforted someone, even if it was just a cat. If it weren't a cat, she wouldn't have bothered to waste her breath, considering she disliked humans the most.

However, because it was a cat, Polyushka didn't hesitate to show her warm side.

After the first day's competition ended, all the members of Fairy Tail, except for Wendy and Charle, went to the tavern to celebrate. When they arrived, they found that Cana, who had been missing, was already there and had drunk quite a bit.

Although she wasn't completely drunk, she wasn't exactly sober either.

Seeing this, Calvin couldn't help but sigh lightly.

"Have you been drinking all day? That's too much," Calvin said with a head full of black lines, and Gray, beside him, nodded in agreement.

Cana, seeing Calvin, laughed and walked over, patting his shoulder hard and saying loudly, "Haha! Handsome, you were quite eye-catching today!"

She then shoved a bottle of wine into Calvin's hand and went back to drinking by herself.

"And you dare to say, aren't you the substitute for Team B? What does it mean not to show up at the venue?" Calvin said expressionlessly.

"I watched the competition! Every tavern has magic crystal screens!" Cana shrugged nonchalantly and went back to drinking with others.

Calvin could only sigh helplessly at this.

Was it a genetic issue, or was there a problem with Fairy Tail's education? How did they end up with so many weirdos?

"You guys have such a good relationship. It's been like this since you were young," Mirajane said, smiling, as she somehow ended up sitting next to Calvin.

"After all, among our generation, Cana and I have been here the longest, except for Laxus. I even taught her magic," Calvin said with a warm smile, feeling a bit nostalgic.

"Yes, Cana also uses card magic," Mirajane laughed lightly, naturally leaning her head on Calvin's shoulder, completely ignoring the teasing glances around them.

Feeling the weight on his shoulder, Calvin smiled slightly and instinctively glanced at Elfman, who was glaring at him fiercely, while Lisanna held him back, preventing him from causing trouble for Calvin.

Calvin couldn't help but smile again.

"Sister complex, huh~"

To others, Calvin and Mirajane seemed like a perfect couple, even Lucy thought so. But as soon as she had this thought, she subconsciously looked at Cana.

The latter had just retracted her gaze from Calvin, her eyes briefly showing a hint of sadness, but she quickly returned to her lively and bold self, continuing to drink with Bickslow and Evergreen from the Thunder God Tribe.

Only now, she was holding a barrel of wine instead of a bottle.

Seeing this, Lucy felt a bit sympathetic. She was the only one who knew Cana's feelings and seeing Calvin shine so brightly made her feel bad for Cana.

So, she picked up a bottle of wine and walked over to Cana.

"Oh oh! Lucy, you're joining us too?" Bickslow shouted first, and hearing his voice, Cana turned around to see Lucy's sweet face.

"Let's have a drink together!" Lucy said with a smile, and Cana, seeing this, first showed a surprised expression, then relaxed.

"Thank you, Lucy," Cana whispered. She knew Lucy wasn't good at drinking and never took the initiative to drink.

The reason she was doing it now was obviously to keep her company and prevent her from feeling sad.

"But I'm not that fragile, just a little heartbreak," Cana smiled and returned to the alcohol.

The crowd was about to fall into a frenzy of celebration, but before that, Makarov suddenly raised his glass, stood up high, and shouted.

"Listen up, brats!"

"Today's victory is just the beginning, don't underestimate any opponent, give it your all!"

"Our goal is to be the number one in Fiore!"

"Oh oh!!" The crowd roared in agreement!

Thus, the revelry began. They treated the tavern as their guild, completely unrestrained and without any reservations. Before they knew it, Gray's clothes were all off, Lucy was down after a few drinks, and Laxus had started drinking with Cana at some point.

After a few drinks, Calvin got bolder and sneakily wrapped an arm around Mirajane's slender waist. Mirajane didn't resist, instead shyly leaning into Calvin's embrace.

This warm feeling made Calvin burst into laughter, which in turn provoked Erza, who, remembering how Calvin had teased her about Jellal a few days ago, chased after him with her sword.

Mirajane quickly stopped Erza, as this was her romantic moment with her boyfriend and she wouldn't let Erza ruin it. Moreover, having drunk a bit, she was feeling emotional and immediately used her Satan Soul to confront Erza.

Makarov hurriedly intervened. If those two women fought, the small tavern wouldn't be able to withstand it, and who knew how much it would cost to compensate?

As Calvin escaped from Ezra's pursuit, he heard a silvery voice beside him.

"What a lively guild~," Mavis said with a bright smile, quietly watching the guild she found in all its chaos, feeling joyful.

"Of course, this is the guild you founded, First Master," Calvin said proudly, smiling.

"Calvin, your use of the illusion magic to defeat Jura today was outstanding!" Mavis gave Calvin a thumbs-up, praising him.

"That was a magic you taught me, First Master. I couldn't let it be disgraced," Calvin replied.

When Mavis taught Calvin the three great Fairy Tail magics, she also taught him the illusion magic she had learned, which Calvin incorporated into his Zanpakuto, naming it Kyouka Suigetsu.

Of course, this illusion's ability couldn't compare to the original, which could manipulate all five senses, but it wasn't easy to see through either.

Fairy Tail was always so lively. In contrast, the atmosphere in Sabertooth was heavy and serious.

Because their performance today hadn't satisfied their guild master.
