As they entered the village centre, they noticed a round up of pedestrians all sitting on the floor in front of the fountain. Florence and Charley were pushed roughly onto the stone floor by Kisame as the rest of the Akatsuki filtered in. There was going to be a big fight, they could tell.
From the neighbouring village a number of ninjas had appeared. She recognised some of them as Kakashi, Might Guy and Jiraiya. A battle ensued, the hostages in the centre avoiding blows. Everyone was frightened, Florence however, was thrilled. She watched as Itachi and Kakashi battled it out in front of them. There were four of the Akatsuki fighting it out with the ninja, the outnumbered them, but it appeared as though they were losing.
Some of the working ninja from the village had crossed to the hostages, the distraction of the battles clearing their route. They started on releasing the escapees, working from the back, and making their way towards Florence and Charley.
Their battles were wavering, the Akatsuki were injured, as well as injuring the three senior ninja. They shouted to retreat, but they were struggling. A panic ensued. The hostages running in all different directions, but Florence and Charley were yet to be freed. The ninja's got to them, untying Charley first and then Florence. They stood from the ground to run but at that moment Kisame appeared, knocking Charley aside and grabbing Florence into a headlock.
'That's enough!' Kisame called out, Charley attempted to help but a ninja held her back. 'One more attack and I'll snap this girl's neck!'
Kisame's grip on Florence's neck tightened. He could do it easily, she felt the fear growing in her chest. Looking out to the ninja for help, eyes landing on Itachi's in some desperate plea.
A verbal fight ensued between Kisame, Deidara and Jiraiya. Might Guy and Kakashi ready to strike either side of them. The Akatsuki gathered close to one another, Florence could feel Itachi's cloak brush her skin. She felt a step back and then all turned to black as they were pulled through a portal.
