CHAPTER 34: DISCORD

“I thought we had this clear, Shelley. I love my wife. I beg you, please stop. We will not be going back to how we used to be. Didn’t we already talk about this? You already accepted it when I told you that I already learned to love her, right? We already agreed that we can only be friends,” I gave Shelley a lengthy reminder while we’re talking on the phone.

Since Lola passed away, Shelley’s been acting like that, suggesting a possible rekindling of our flame.

But my heart, it cannot be moved be her anymore. I wouldn’t leave my wife for her.

Just the thought of losing Mira is enough to make me feel agitated.

I sighed when I heard her answer.

“I can’t help it. I can’t help hoping that you will still come back to me.”

“My wife and I are now starting our family. She’s already pregnant, we’re going to have a baby soon.”
