CHAPTER 27: CORPORATE AFFAIRS

I waved at Rodney before he finally got into his car. He said today is an important day for the company because it was a stockholder’s meeting and Election Day.

I quietly listened to him as he tells me that Zandro will also be attending the event since Lola already transferred a certain number of shares of stock to him.

The meeting will start at 11 AM that’s why the moment the gate has closed, I scrambled to go back to my room to change my clothes into a formal one.

The truth is I feel nervous for today. My relationship with Rodney is getting better already. We are almost like a normal married couple now. Other than that, he started opening up to me, telling me anecdotes every night about his day in the office.

We laugh, we kiss freely, we make love when we feel like it. And to be honest, I’m scared to death to wake up one morning and realize that everything is but a sweet, sweet dream.
