I had just finished wiping my desk, and was about to start working when a voice echoed in the room and an announcement was made through the department intercom by Miss Aria.

“Everyone, please come to the conference room right now. We’ll be holding an emergency meeting…’’ her voice was powerful with urgency, and I watched as the team stopped what they were doing, picked up their pads and pens, before they hurriedly walked towards the elevator. The conference room was located on the 12th floor of the building.

‘‘Let’s go, Naya. You don’t want us to be scolded by the witch, right?’’ Selena patted my shoulder as she walked past me.

I chuckled softly, grabbed my notepad as well, and followed suit, squeezing myself into the already crowded elevator.

‘‘What do you think Miss Aria will discuss in the meeting?’’ Selena asked with a nudge at my side. ‘‘I’m so nervous that I might faint before the witch even starts talking…’’
