‘‘Pleased to see you again, Sir Chosen!’’ The entire team excitedly greeted him as he stepped into our department. He’s finally back after taking a two-week vacation from the day I went to his house and took care of Molly.

‘‘Thanks…’’ he waved his hand at them with a smile, ambling his way towards my desk. ‘‘Hi…’’

‘‘Hi…’’ I returned the gesture, stopping my fingers from writing on a piece of paper. ‘‘How’s your vacation?’’

‘‘It was great!’’ he sounded refreshed, his brown eyes filled with happiness as he roamed them around the room, nodding at Selena behind me before they focused on mine again. Although I had no idea where he went, I was convinced that the place he visited made him look significantly happier.

It would be wonderful if I could also go on vacation. Seeing Chosen’s aura, I guess that’s what I need right now. But given the circumstances that I am currently facing, I can’t cease working for the time being.
