[WARNING: Mature Content 18+] "My soul craved yours from the very beginning of time." ____ Theodore Blackwell was the very reincarnation of the Devil yet Eva fell straight into his arms, not knowing that the Devil doesn't come to you with a red face and horns. He arrived in her life as everything she had ever desired... [Excerpt] Instead, a tall man stood there looking like the very reincarnation of the devil himself and Eva felt uneasy as she felt the dark aura around him markedly. He was handsome looking, no, handsome was not enough to describe his appearance. It was hard to describe him as handsome when she had seen no one as attractive as him in her whole life. His hand was in the pocket of his slacks as he walked forward in her direction. When she noticed him coming close to her, Eva took a few steps back until her back met the hard wall behind her. He didn't stop approaching her and Eva held her breath when he entered her breathing space. She was a head shorter than him so he leaned down until their faces were in front of each other. His hand was placed on the wall, right beside her as Eva stared straight into his obsidian black eyes which were darker and deeper than normal human beings. Was this a staring competition, thought Eva as she tried not to blink under his intimidating gaze. By any chance, did he not have the ability to speak? Finally, he opened his mouth to speak. In a smooth tone, he spoke, "You're staring in my eyes." _______ Handsome looks: Triple Check! Evil family relative: Check! Misunderstandings: Check! Power building: Double Check! Eva fanned herself, the weather outside freezing while she was sweating after the problematic training session with that bastard Kai. Eva was slowly starting to understand why Davina had her issues with him and wondered if she was going to end up kicking him in the gut one day too.
Pushing her bangs back from her face with one hand, she jogged toward her room, heaving and internally planning to have a shower before going down to see what the others were doing.
Rubbing her eyes, she pushed open a familiar-looking door and stepped inside, slamming it shut behind her. Blurry-eyed, her hands went toward the bottom of her shirt and just as she was beginning to pull it off, her eyes raised themselves to notice her suddenly peculiar surroundings.
Had her room suddenly gotten darker?
"..."
And then her eyes landed on him.
Theo raised a brow, placing the book in his hands down on the table beside his chair and crossing his legs. Eva chose that moment to notice that he looked really good in those tight pants that she had spotted in her closet too.
However, her eyes soon widened as she took a step back and turned to flee for the door. Twisting it around furtively, she wondered what was the knob's fricking problem and why it had to fuck up at this very moment out of all the other times she had wanted the door to lock itself.
"Damning thing..." she whispered and heard him softly chuckle from where he was sitting.
Turning around, she folded her arms across her chest. Her brows narrowed when she saw his eyes darken as he looked at her face and the rooftop scene repeated in her mind. If Gwen hadn't come bursting through the door, would he have closed the distance between them?
'Why am I even thinking this right now?'
"Open the door," she said, shushing her heart as it complained against her words.
"Open it yourself," he replied, and it drove her mad from the inside, though Eva knew she would never admit to it.
Gritting her teeth, she felt tremendous anger thrumming on her fingertips. Everything felt too hot all of a sudden as she neared him and placed her arms on the sides of his armchair.
His reaction felt nothing compared to how she was feeling inside. Eva wanted to make him feel just as affected, just as maddened and crazy as he made her. Her silver hair curtained one side of her face as she leaned in closer and whispered,
"You know very well that I can open that door by myself too. Regardless, I don't think you'll appreciate a broken door, now would you?"
The familiar flicker of violet made her insides clench hard each and every time. "I don't think I'll mind," he spoke, the ends of his lips curving though his eyes remained as bored as ever.
Eva pursed her lips, the muted bulb above her head unexpectedly flickering to life and glowing more radiant than ever. Letting herself smirk, she straightened herself and almost giggled out at the disappointment his face held. He didn't know what she was capable of yet...
Turning around, she stalked toward a door that she presumed would be his closet. Feeling his darkened eyes burning through her skill, she swung it open and walked inside, her eyes roaming around as she took in the prominent scent of smoke and fresh laundry. Resisting the urge to lock herself inside the room and live here forever, Eva spotted a simple-looking white shirt and a pair of black slacks hanging from the hooks.
The shirt had buttons and was too big for her, and so were the pants. Breathing out in frustration, she grabbed a belt along with the clothes and started regretting her decision to ever do any of this.
'Why didn't I just break the door...'
'Because you want him to feel the very things you are experiencing right now.' her subconscious murmured and Eva stuck out her tongue at it.
He was on his feet when she walked out and the look on his face was worth capturing in a frame. It should be noted down in history that Theodore Blackwell was capable of being speechless too sometimes.
"I'll be showering while you take your sweet time to open that door before I step out." were the only words she spoke as Eva smiled brightly and tried not to break down in laughter when she saw him open his mouth but no words managed to come out.
She knew the slight gaping hole in her mastermind plan. If he refused to open that door, she had only a few options left.
Either open that door and give him the silent treatment for a week at least. She didn't know how she would manage to do the second part.
Scream bloody murder so somebody from outside could use their powers and unlock it. But she knew whatever power he had used, it wouldn't be that easy to break. It made her wonder if even brute strength could make it break open.
If none of these options worked, she would have to stay in his room until somebody noticed her absence and his together. But like his friends were, they would think they were 'busy' and refuse to go and search for them. Gwen had probably learned her lesson from the previously abundant times.
Stepping inside the shower after discarding her sweaty clothes, she raised her face and felt warm droplets caress her skin before sliding down to her body. She could only hope that he would listen to her and if not, she could always threaten to try jumping out the window.
Unbeknownst to herself, she smiled and looked around his bathroom, surveying everything with her chocolate brown orbs.
If neither of the options worked, she was doomed if she spent the night in the same room as him.
Xandria was different.
This room, however, had no couch...
