Unreasonable

Joan stared at Steve as he walked into her sitting room, she felt like all her troubles that she had forgotten walked right in with him. He looked even more stressed out than he had been when he left her apartment the previous evening. His eyes were bloodshot and his expression grim. What could have happened to him? She wondered with a concerned frown.

After talking to her parents, Steve had decided to go straight to Joan's place and talk to her about his decision to go on with the marriage arrangements, but on his way, his car bumper had gotten hit by a commercial vehicle that was trying to avoid being caught by a road safety marshal for taking one way. Steve had to stop by the mechanic to get the car fixed before coming to Joan's place.
