Ridiculous Idea

When Steve got back home from work that evening, Joan could tell something was going on with him. She kept asking him what it was but he told her nothing was wrong. Joan didn't believe him because she could see that he wasn't himself.

"Ayo, are you sure everything is okay? Did something happen at work?"Joan asked him again as they sat down watching the evening news on TV.

"There is nothing wrong, I'm good," Steve replied. Joan noticed he kept avoiding having any form of eye contact with her. 

Joan kept studying him, she felt something was wrong and he was hiding it from her. 

"Ayo," she said his name in a very calm tone. 

"Yes?" Steve had his eyes glued to the TV even though he could barely hear what was being said, his mind was far away as he thought of all the things that could go wrong when Joan found out that he had impregnated the same girl he had sworn not to have slept with.
