Paranoia

Victoria was humming a happy song to herself as she went about in her kitchen making jollof rice. It was a weekend and she didn't go to work, she had overworked herself during the week and decided to use the weekend to rest. Her relationship with Deji was going on smoothly and she felt happy being with him. He made her smile, and always looked for ways to make her happy. 

Victoria smiled to herself as her phone rang and she saw Deji was the one calling.

"Hey pumpkin," came his baritone voice. 

"Hello there my love, I was just thinking of you," Victoria reduced the heat on what she was cooking and stepped away from the gas cooker.

"Me too, how are you doing today?"

"I'm okay."

"It doesn't sound like you are at the office," Deji said.
