Do you know how it feels to hold your own rib bone in your hand?

Of course you don't.

But Jayden does!

'Damn I a really am dead...'

Jayden said as he somehow pushed the rib bone back inside his chest.

Then he once again started climbing the mountain.

What else can he do? he had less than a day to life anyway....

"At least I have unlimited stamina..."

Jayden muttered in a small voice as he grabbed onto a firm gap between the rocks.

He had already fallen a dozen of times now, but he wasn't just climbing without thinking if anything this half-dead race gave him a way more clearer mind than a normal human's.

Everytime he fell, Jayden will mark the place in his mind and avoid grabbing onto it the next time.

That is how slowly but steadily he made his way up.

Though his 206 bones became 190 by the time he reached up...

It was a blessing that he couldn't feel anything or else he would have definitely died due to shock alone.

"Should be right around here."

Using what he remembered from the game, Jayden located a nest on top of the mountain.

When he saw the dark red coloured placed inside the giant nest, Jayden became alert and carefully looked at the sky.

He released a sigh when he saw that it was all clear and quickly made his way towards the nest.

The dark red egg was massive, it was half his height but that wasn't all, the egg continuosly released heat waves around it, making it so that any predator that dare to approach it will be burn to a crisp.

If Jayden was empty handed then he could only forget about breaking this egg.

But he had the Steel Spear.

Instead of directly attacking the Phoenix egg, Jayden first carefully observed the giant nest.

He dug out an opening underneath the nest and took off his clothes before placing them inside.

With his zombie like body completely exposed, Jayden tightly gripped the Steel spear in his hand.

His bones cracked as he tightened his body and thrust at the egg as hard as he could.

*Crack*

The egg cracked as flames rushed out from the opening directly attacking Jayden.

Due to the high temperature his hands started making a sizzling sound, Fortunately he took off his clothes earlier or they would have most definitely caught in fire.

Jayden pushed forward as the steel spear buried itself deeper inside the egg.

*Chee*

Tye undeveloped voice of an animal came out from the egg as the thing started staking violently.

With one last push, Jayden completely sent the spear inside the egg.

*Boom*

With a blast the phoenix egg directly exploded making its shards fly everywhere.

As Jayden was in close proximity to the egg, a quater if them pierced his body.

One of the large pieces embedded itself in his face, fortunately his eyes were spared but his nose wasn't.

Breathing is for the weak anyway.

Jayden had the urge to curse when he saw the title [Child Killer].

'Wtf?'

'What do you mean monster!?'

'What do you mean ruthless nature?'

'Am I Jayden Laylight such a person?'

'No!'

'I only look like a half mangled corpse that's all!'

'Don't judge a zombie by his face!'

While Jayden was spewing out curses, a giant shadow loomed over him.

"Has the sun settled already........Oh...."

A figure giant enough to cover the sky, stared down at Jayden.

It was none other than the phoenix.

Her burning eyes were fixed on the remains of her dead baby beside Jayden.

*Screech*

She let out a screech full of sorrow, when she felt the life force of her child disappear.

Then her eyes fixed on Jayden.

Staring at the guardian beast, Jayden had a dignified look on his face.

Clearing his throat, Jayden said in a slightly shaking voice.

"V-violence is not the answer-------"

*SCREECH*

A pillar of flame fell down from the sky enveloping the entire surface of the mountain.

The flames were so terrible that even the rocks started melting under the high temperature.

After some time the flame vanished leaving behind a charred mountain top.

Seeing that all traces of Jayden have vanished, the phoenix gave one last sorrowful cry before flying away.
