Noa felt his desperation grow upon seeing the quest remain incomplete. Time was running out—less than an hour left.
"We've killed countless Rascal Rats. Why haven't we completed the quest yet? Is the system malfunctioning?" Noa asked in frustration.
"I understand what you're feeling right now," Eden replied. "But the quest isn't just about killing monsters and obtaining the artifact. We still need to defeat the boss monster to complete it."
Noa frowned, having realized Eden was right. They still had a long way to go before the mission was accomplished, yet they only had a short time left.
"Okay, let's get started again. We don't have much time left," Noa said, urging his team forward.
Their hearts pounded with adrenaline as they rushed towards the boss monster's lair. Noa's mind raced, trying to formulate a plan.
They had to defeat the boss as fast as possible, but they were out of weapons.
Approaching the lair, Noa felt his nerves getting the better of him. This was the real battle. He took a deep breath and steadied himself, gripping his gun tightly.
"I don't have many bullets left, and time's running out. Do any of you have a better plan?" Noa asked, preparing for the boss monster's arrival.
"I can only think of attacking the monster relentlessly," Eden answered.
"But we must be cautious not to get too close, or it could catch us off guard. Maybe we can lure it into a trap or use some sort of distraction to gain time," So-Rin suggested.
Noa nodded, considering So-Rin's idea. He scanned the area and spotted some large boulders nearby.
"What if we put the electric trap at those boulders?" Noa suggested. "We can lure the monster to chase us, then hide behind the boulders. When the monster boss gets close, the trap is activated, and we can shoot the monster."
"That's a good idea," Eden agreed. "But we mustn't miss. We only have a few shots at this."
They all agreed on the plan. Before long, the monster they had been waiting for emerged from underground, letting out an electrifying groan.
In front of them appeared a creature that almost made them spit out their breakfast. Its body reeked of stale bread.
At first glance, the monster looked like a fat, tall man. It was as big as a human, but upon closer inspection, it was a rascal rat in its largest form. Its teeth and nails were sharp, and its eyes glowed red like fresh blood.
Noa led the way, keeping a cautious distance from the monster. He ran towards the boulders while his friends tried to grab the monster's attention.
As Noa reached the boulders, he quickly set up the electrical trap and pulled out the pasta with a sprinkle of cheese from his cargo pants. He wanted to eat it on the way later, but he placed it on the trap instead, hoping to lure the monster.
The group started to attack the boss monster, drawing its focus away from Noa as it charged towards them. The monster fell right into the trap.
"Rats will be rats. So, enjoy your breakfast, big guy," Noa muttered to himself.
"The trap worked! Now it's time to take it down!" Eden exclaimed.
The electrical trap worked like a charm. The monster was momentarily stunned, giving Noa and his friends a chance to attack. They struck the monster with all their might, hoping to defeat it once and for all.
Noa fired his shoulder gun, aiming for the monster's weak spot. They attacked from all sides, distracting the monster and preventing it from escaping the trap. They worked together seamlessly, each one playing their part in the battle.
The monster fought back fiercely, its body like a pile of rags torn apart by laser shots. Despite all of that, it still stood and had the energy to counter-attack with its sharp claws.
Fortunately, the electric shock from the electric traps slowed down its movements. The boss monster had also lost 70% of its HP. Noa and his friends took the opportunity to attack from close range.
Their efforts finally paid off when the monster let out a final roar and collapsed to the ground.
Panting and covered in sweat, Noa and his friends looked at each other with relief and satisfaction. They had defeated the monster and completed the quest.
"We did it!" Noa exclaimed, relieved and exhilarated. "Great teamwork, everyone!"
Eden grinned and exclaimed, "That was amazing! I don't think we could have done it without that trap. Nice job setting that up, Noa."
Noa smiled modestly. "Thanks, but it wouldn't have been possible without you guys. We made a great team."
They high-fived each other before turning to examine the fallen monster. Its body was still twitching slightly, but they knew it was dead.
The notification sounded, not only for each participant who completed the quest, but also as an announcement throughout the system that the Shadow Syndicate Guild had completed a quest and killed a boss monster.
Notifications from the chat server flooded in, filled with congratulations from their fellow guild members. Noa checked them in succession.
Finally, he received the notification he had been waiting for.

"Finally," Noa exclaimed. "Let's see what rewards we got."
Noa was thrilled as he knew the rewards could solve his current financial problem. As a novice soldier, his salary wasn't high, not to mention that he was not yet on duty.
In the new world of Infinity Globe, they had reverted all the currency to Infinity Globe Nummus as a single currency for the entire world. Infrablack wanted to simplify transactions, conversion, and increasing efficiency.
A global currency under a unified monetary Infrablack authority could provide stability to the financial system.
Noa checked the details of his quest's notification.
