A Tacit Understanding
The day passed in a haze with the two people sleeping and being cozy in bed. The only reason for them to be separated was to heat the food so that they could eat. There seemed to be a tacit agreement between the two to simply let things be and not talk of irrelevant things.
As the night approached, Matt finally let the exhausted Qian Qian rest as he walked out of the cabin. A melancholy feeling surrounded him as he tried to let go of the thoughts in his head. Last night, he had been carried away by the situation. But now that he had time to think, he regretted their decision. The regret had assailed him in the morning as well, and that was why to avoid thinking of this he had continued to walk down the forbidden path.
