Stockpiling My Abilities In Each Life

There was a man named Ho-Seok, he lives in a world where towers mysteriously appeared and they all connected into one place, the place held monsters that humanity has never seen before. But when the towers appeared so did the system, the system granted each person who entered the tower the ability to level, gain gear or loot inside and at least one special ability. Ho-Seok's ability was still unknown at the time and the penalty for his ability was already active, whenever he gained experience points it was cut in half, whenever he leveled up his free stat point gain was cut in half. And whenever he learned a skill the penalty for the skill would be multiplied by 10 and it's strength would be cut in half, even though his ability brought him suffering, he still tried to make a living as a ranker in the tower. But sadly enough because of his ability's disadvantage he died, he accidentally entered a hidden dungeon and it was supposed to be harder than any normal dungeon and Ho-Seok couldn't fight them off. He died in the end but then a light appeared, it was the system it showed many different dates and times but Ho-Seok wasn't sure what it was but then it said it would automatically choose the oldest saved file. And when Ho-Seok opened his eyes again, he saw it was the first time he entered the tower and when he checked his player profile it was like it was reset but then he notice there were two player profiles. When he checked the other one, it held all the skills that he got in his previous life, all the stat points he didn't get but it was multiplied by 2 and he also received the experience points he didn't get as well and it was also multiplied by 2. Ho-Seok couldn't believe it but when he checked the skills, the penalties were now gone and it's strength was multipled by two, his ability allowed him to stockpile whatever he got in each life. So from then on, Ho-Seok wanted to live the most luxurious life and become the strongest ranker to ever live in the tower. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Disclaimer: The Cover for this Novel is mine, it was made by AinsT1ck

A God's Corpse - [ Chapter - 70 ]

After all of them heard the sounds of wailing, they looked closer at the skeletal body that they found and noticed that it wasn't just a small chunk of a corpse, rather it was a full on body, it looked as if it was still preserved pretty well actually and it was a complete Skeleton.

Every single part of the skeleton could be seen pretty well and each part of them had a strong and abundant amount of energy inside of them and as they looked, there were more of the leech creatures that they saw from before at the arm.

However, as they were walking, light started to come out of the bones of the huge corpse and the light then started to enter Bean rapidly, as this happened Ho-Seok saw a huge influx of Divine energy in his stats and it was increasing by an enormous amount per second.

As he saw this, Ho-Seok quickly realized it was the corpse of a God, but it surprised him quite a bit, since it was kind of underwhelming to how strong the Gods are but then suddenly the wailing sound could be heard again as the Skeleton started to shrink.

Bean's divine stat growth slowed down quite a bit but not at a pace where it really effected him that much, but as he was absorbing the light, some of the leeches deattached itself from the bones of the God and started to screech at Bean as they then tried to attack him.

They launched their bodies at Bean, and it was very apparent that they knew someone else was taking Divine energy from the corpse, the leeches suddenly then shot beams of light from their mouths, quite different from their appearance, so it seemed pretty weird in itself and stuff.

But as the beams of light launched at Bean, he held up his shield to try blocking the attack, but then suddenly the beams of light slowly changed into a more liquid form and moved around his shield and entered into his body directly hitting him in the chest.

Although the beams hit him, it didn't do any damage, rather his divine stat leaped bounds as he actually absorbed the beams of light, which the leeches despite their appearance noticed quickly and stopped attacking him with their beams of light and suddenly started to dig into the ground.

When they saw this, they were quite confused as they just started digging into the ground even though they seemed to be leeches, and also the most intresting thing was rhat they seemed to have some intelligence, and it wasn't a small amount either as they were making some quick decisions.

So Ho-Seok finally decided to use his true sight ability to try and read their descriptions as well as the stuff about the God's corpse, and as he did this, he quickly found our the leeches were called "Demonic Leeches" which suited their appearance by a lot so it was understandable.

Though, it confused Ho-Seok that they were able to use divine attacks, which was proven when Bean absorbed their light attacks, since even if they were able to absorb divine power, they were deemed as Demonic so or should've still purified them and harm them rather than them using it.

As Ho-Seok read through the panels about the Demonic leeches, he found out that they were able to create pouches to hold the divine energy through using the bodies of Divine beings however it was usually rare for it to happen to that many leeches in just a tiny area.

Although that changes when a powerful God's corpse was perfectly free for the taking for all of them, which just juiced them up by a lot and even allowed them to use the divine energy than just wasting the energies in the body they were leeching from which made them quite annoying.

If they didn't have the sponge absorbing every single piece of stray of Divine energy, Ho-Seok would've had trouble with the amount of leeches there were and how long have they devoured the power of a God without getting noticed by any other being in the Tower.

This made it quite strange since it would've been impossible to go unnoticed for so long especially with quite a high ranking God being the one that was leeched from, even Bean was noticed even after using multiple authorities to hide his leeching power from the Gods and Goddesses who blessed him.

So there must've been either a really strong leeches in the area that could hide all of their presence or something in the area was hiding them all, it could've also been the black fog that they found that made it difficult to even see with the true sight ability.

Since it was made of Divine energy, it could have definitely hide their presence if it was being used to hide since Ho-Seok's true sight ability should be able to see through some stuff that Gods even find trouble in cause it came from Cthulhu himself to use thay power.

After looking at the panels of the leech, he then noticed something else, the bones weren't marked as an object, rather it was still being seen as an entity so, Ho-Seok then flew abive to get a better look at the huge body since he realized something about it.

Now he was looking from above, he could clearly see the huge body, there wasn't a single piece of skin left on it, however, Ho-Seok was also able to see some organs on the ground and some divine energy connecting them all together to continue to form the body.

What they all thought was a corpse, was still a living, breathing God, so this surprised Ho-Seok a lot, since he definitely knows that in the mythology, he was supposed to be dead and the Tower is very nit picky about the mythologies and following the story to the very dot.

Which just meant one thing, it was that either someone changed the story during the time, or someone revived the God to only that point, since it was very apparent that the fog used the God's energy to hide every single presence in the area so that they wouldn't find out who it was.

That would be the most likely case if it was the case that someone revived the God, but the only thing that Ho-Seok was confused of was using the corrupted leeches to absorb the remaining energy of a revived God, since it should definitely be more beneficial to just absorb it directly.
