Perry log # 02 Monster are not

Perry and Saph slept for a long period until Perry woke up to the sound of scratching.

Perry: "what is that?!"

A dark figure could be seen in the hallway at the door,It didn't look human or gem .

Perry:" Saph!, Saph! wake up there's something here"

Saph: "ugh..yeah, what's the prob?"

Perry: " we're not alone in this lab"

*distance taping sound*

Saph hearing this manifested an Ice sword while Perry grabbed a steel pipe, they both crept closer to the door ready to attack what ever was there ,they rushed out with a battle cry only to find a simple little rat

Saph: " I don't think this rat could be the monster

Perry : " I swear there was something bigger out there"

Saph: "Hey you look a little RAT-tled to the core "

Perry hearing this punched Saph into a wall with a stone arm that he formed from the ground.The two started to explore the lab, they were going from room to room grabbing anything that had use. Saph had found a backpack that we placed all the supplies in, they continue to explore when they suddenly encounter an unfamiliar monster it was a horrendous mashup of both human and gem, it had a gem that was embedded in its very thick scaly skin there was a multitude of face splattered across the monsters back, Perry could hear there screams echoing in his mind "Help!, help us, please" Perry fell to his knee, his mind rushing he heard the voices scream as if they were in sync "Help us" the monster seeing this, took advantage of Perry vulnerable state and attack him but Saph swiftly counted with his ice sword then he quickly grabbed and lunged Perry into the other room

Monster Voices: "Help us, Free us, Save us

Perry: "No!, no! stop please stop, I can't help you"

Perry's mind was being destroyed his head felt like it was about to burst

Monster Voices: "Help me *crying* help me"

While Perry was trying to resist the monsters plead Saph was battling the monster,

he was all bruised up as Blood dripped from his arm, The monster had the upperhand, Saph was no match for it.

Saph: "I would tell you to Chill out but you're a monster, so I'm just going to end it here"

Saying that he trusted towards the Monster landing the finishing blow.the monster suddenly swelled up and burst spray organic matter everywhere, leaving behind a pile of gem shards. Saph went back to get Perry in the other room, he opened the door and saw Perry kneeling muttering something, Saph went over and touch Perry's shoulder Suddenly a stone spike grew out of the ground inches away from Saph's face,

Saph; "hey hey hey, it's me "

Perry turned around, his bright glowing green eyes dimming.

Perry: "Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to do that, it's just that when we encountered the monster I could hear a voice screaming to me begging for help, it was unpleasant"

Saph: " Well it's gone, so you will be alright"

Perry: "yeah but I don't think it's going to be the only one we'll encounter"

Saph: "Yeah, yeah you worry too much"

Perry and Saph continue to the second floor of the lab where the Research lab was, this was where they researched and experimented on gem shards, the lab had a data terminal, so Perry went to check it out, most of the data was corrupted expect for a file called Experiment log 45 it read.

{The experiments were a success, it finally worked 3 children born from both humans and gems, It was a scientific revolution this could stop the swarm

His children are comprised of hundreds of gems shard which allows them to use pretty much wide variety of gem abilities, End log }

Perry: "what, multiple of shards? "

Saph: "Multiple abilities"

Saph: "The monster I killed, when it died, it left behind a pile of gem shards"

Perry: "Wait, no no no, it can't be"

Perry's eyes shone bright green, he was taken back by this discovery,

Perry: "The monster was a failed experiment"

Saph: "the monster was a monster and it wanted to kill you nothing more"

Perry: "That's what you say, you couldn't hear their agonizing screams as they begged for help"

He shouted tears filling his glowing eyes.

Perry: "do you know how that feel, I uh"

Saph hugged Perry calming him down

Saph: " I'm sorry I didn't know"

Saph: " Let's go, we can't let what happened to stop us now, we still need to find a way out of this lab"

As Perry wipe his eyes that had dimmed he replied

Perry: "Ok I'm ready"

But the moment they got up another monster burst into the room, Saph almost as if it was instinct spawn summoned his Ice sword and quickly dealt with the monster.

Saph: " a another monsters apprehended"
