Yes. Amazing. Such an incredible word. Jason lay there in the bed that really did feel like a cloud, and cuddled the love of his life into all his muscles. He just felt happy. Everywhere.
He wondered how many bookshelves Colby’s flat in London had, and how much room there’d be for some old Wizards & Wyverns player manuals, and whether Colby would like cinnamon-pecan pancakes for breakfast in bed on sleepy mornings.
Colby said, answering Jason’s comment and not his thoughts, “I hope George is happy with what I’ve done. He said he liked it…”
“He’s not exactly the type to be polite about it if he didn’t.”
“It’s only that I know how enormous it must feel. Even more so now. I’d wondered…but I’d never known; no one knew. He’d written the one novel and vanished, and we had a terrible time even tracking him down; Andy and Adrian finally found him. At one point people thought he might be dead. The emotions are complicated for him, I’d imagine.”
