Suddenly after opening my eyes, I find myself lying on a cold floor. My mind was still trying to comprehend what was going on.
I noticed the clothes I was wearing were not the clothes I was wearing at the hospital. They were more of a casual wear but why was I wearing them.
To my surroundings, I slowly glanced around and notice a pile of damaged and severed bodies being stacked. A girl that looks just around my age seems to be gathering them into that one spot.
I whisper to myself "What the hell is going on?"
All I remember was passing out in my room at the hospital. Checking again, it seems I'm in a warehouse.
But this doesn't explain what I'm seeing with my own two eyes!
Abruptly, the girl turns in my direction.
Did she notice me?
I tried to remain calm.
The steps of her boots echoed throughout the building as she made each step.
Without moving an inch, I continued to lie there.
Then, the footsteps stop.
She stands directly in front of me. My instincts tell me to make a run for it but for some reason I don't.
I slightly tilt my eyes upwards and notice she was wearing some black leather boots.
She grabbed my right hand and with her grip being particularly strong, it caused me to make a sound.
"Ow!"
Her head turns around as fast as an owl's.
She clings to my shirt and holds me up. Our eyes meet.
I immediately reply "Please don't kill me. I have no clue how I even ended up in this situation."
As I beg for my life, her face makes an odd expression.
"???"
She tightens he grip one more time and she finally speaks.
"How are you even speaking?"
She seems to have a Russian accent. By the looks of it, I think she is Russian. Everything around her somehow gives off that Russian vibe.
Her hair was light brown and she had light coloured skin.
I stood there confused.
"Let me repeat the question. HOW ARE YOU SPEAKING!"
She unsheathes a sword from her scabbard hanging by her waist.
She positions her sword near my neck.
"Is this woman crazy?" I thought to myself.
I try to find the right answer to her question. To be honest, I don't even know the answer. One minute I was in a hospital and now I find myself being threatened by a crazy wielding Russian sword lady.
Now is not the time to freak out. Quick before you can say goodbye to your neck.
"Answer me!"
"Okay, okay."
Think Charlie, think.
"Alright, I'm telling the truth here okay? I was in a hospital not long ago and passed out. Then I find myself lying on the ground in a warehouse seeing you disposing of those bodies. That's all I've got. Now, can you please put your sword away?"
She seemed to be reluctant at first but then she decided to put her sword away.
"So your sure that's all you can remember?"
"Yes ma'am."
I never would have imagined she trust in the first place.
Now that things have settled down between me and her, I need to confirm what's going on.
Before I get to ask her a question, I see her return to the pile of corpses. She stands in front of them and starts to mutter something.
Before I could notice what even happened, the pile of corpses caught aflame.
Wait, I didn't even see her ignite it let alone pour any gasoline on them.
In a matter of seconds, all that was left in front of her were ashes from the corpses.
What I had witnessed in front of me defied logic.
No.
It was otherworldly. Something like that shouldn't be possible. It would usually take hours for a body to turn into ashes, but not seconds!
As I thought to myself, "Who was this lady?"
I was simply left bewildered at what I had seen.
Unable to contain my curiosity, I screamed out to her "How did you do that? There is no way something like that is even possible."
As I looked at her with a confused face, I noticed she smirked a little.
Did she just smirk? No way someone like her with a serious expression could do that.
Things just keep getting more stranger by the minute.
Oh yeah, I wanted to ask her some questions before she performed that magical performance.
"First of all, where am I? Secondly, who are you? Thirdly, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!"
Being bombarded with questions she showed an annoyed face.
Hey, hey, hey. Don't you dare make that face. I'm currently going through a midlife crisis here.
"I'll answer your questions later, first follow me."
"Alright."
As reluctant as I am, I have no other choice than to do what she says.
I followed behind her out through the main door.
I caught a quick glimpse of where we are, and all of a sudden I felt a hard knock against the back of my head.
*Thud*
Not this again. I just woke up!
I fell heavy against the ground. Then I hear the words "I'm sorry, you will understand why soon."
My eyes slowly shut and I fell asleep. So this is how it feels to get knocked out.
