Beginner Package

Once her mood had calmed down, the banshee had looked over her body which had overwhelmed her once again.

The light had flashed over her body to relieve her mental distress and she had returned to normal.

Once she had accepted her situation, she opened her mouth and said. "Status?"

A screen appeared in front of her eyes and there were several options available to her.

Each race came with the kind of advantages that let them possess better strength or healing than others but those were usually displayed and added onto the top of the base stats that were levelled.

The banshee race had their advantages that let them have a strong affinity that made them more suited to the role of a caster rather than a melee role but that did not stop some others from taking up the melee role.

The Sonic Scream and Death Song abilities could be major game changers in a PVP situation since the Sonic Scream could harm others, interrupt them or even disorient them which would allow for an opportunity to strike a fatal blow.

Death Song was an annoying skill that once cast on the bodies of the dead, their souls could not run back to their body to resurrect and they could not be resurrected by others.

An added bonus was that the successful casting of the Death Song which had successfully let a soul pass on would grant bonus experience points too.

It was very clear to Beatrix that her undead body would not be able to be improved through the normal means and the only way to do so was to increase her level so she needed to kill others or to use her Death Song.

The Death Sense was something that was very important to being able to use Death Song but it could also lead her into dangerous places so she had to be careful with the use of it.

The path that was being presented to her was not yet a class that came with different skills or spells since that begun at level ten.

The starter pack was the basic package that everyone would use to level up from zero to ten and once Beatrix had clicked on 'Yes', the menu had opened up with different icons and titles.

Among the different paths there were different icons that had shown to be best suited for the caster path, the support path, the healer path, the ranged path and the melee path.

The first decision was not that important to the overall progress of the character but it had let Beatrix think over her situation a little more. 'Hm.. the beginner package will mainly only give me some minor pieces of armour and weapons to suit those roles so what do I need right now?'

She was in the middle of nowhere and there were no others around her since she was in the middle of a field that was closest to a road.

She may not have been seen by others so far but it would not be long before there would be some passerby that may have come across her.

Beatrix needed something to be able to survive but to also help to conceal her appearance.

Just like most class systems in online games, there were still some rules related to what kind of armour each class could wear which helped to balance the game further.

Once a class was chosen at level ten, those rules would begin to apply and the chosen class items that had been picked in the beginning could no longer be equipped.

Beatrix thought to herself. 'I do not have any type of aiming assistance helping me so choosing archer would be a poor choice and bigger armour will be too heavy. Something more lightweight would be best so perhaps caster or rogue for now.'

The beginner package would provide cloth or leather armour to put into her character slots for her legs, feet and chest while a one handed or two handed weapon would be provided too.

She thought to herself. 'I will go with the lightweight melee choice for now.'

Even if she may have had some idea towards her future path, her current decision would not affect it so once she had a package in her hands, Beatrix opened it without any hesitation.

The light leather armour was placed over her dress clothes and a dagger was hidden away on her body.

If she had chosen the option for a spell caster then it was more likely that the weapon she would have gained was a staff or a wand but they would only be useful for causing blunt damage since they could not be used to cast spells until she reached level ten.

Her Death Song and other abilities did not require the assistance of mage tools so the better option was to have a little extra means of defending herself at a closer range and to get some light armour rather than a flimsy robe.

If she got anything heavier then it may have slowed her down since her level was so low and she was very weak.

She would have liked something that could have been used to conceal her inhuman features but she could not think of a way besides tearing up some cloth and then wrapping it around her head but that would only gain her similar strange looks since it was obvious that she was trying hard to hide something unless she was actually injured.

Beatrix let out a sigh. "Now is the side professions or jobs."

The side professions were the most simple parts of each players choices and they were mainly there to aid in crafting or gathering things in order to improve themselves or to earn currency.

Depending on her choice of the available options, those would be what she would have to focus towards and would have to improve using her own resources or others in order for her mastery to grow to reach a higher grade.
