Chapter V: Murdering Demon

The crowd was scared. Kazue always angry. The crowd got up and said "WE SHALL FREE HIM!". "36 people are in the crowd. That guy was 1,500. So I'd get 54,000 EXP." Kazue thought. When everyone came towards him. He got them all. He had leveled up 6 times, making him level 10. He looked at the other demons. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you" Kazue said. He left the church with a blood stain on his cheek. It was in the middle of the woods. So he just stayed on a tree ready to hunt or go to sleep. Then he realized he's level 10. He could evolve. He opened the system and say a tab saying "evolution tree". He clicked it and showed a few evolutions. greater demon, pathforger, and wendigo. He clicked on the evolutions

Greater Demon: Stronger and Faster. Mental Stability decreases gradually.

Pathforger: create evolutions. Mental Stability increases

Wendigo: Stronger and Faster than most evolutions. Mental stability greatly decreases.

He wanted pathforger. It seemed like a good one. First he would need to become a greater demon, then evolve into a pathforger. He started the evolution process. Then shadows from everywhere rose and went towards him. He was fine with it at this point. He absorbed all the shadows. It made him bigger, have horns, and grow permanent wings. Then he evolved into pathforger. This time, the shadows left him a little. He lost his horns. As he became pathforger he could make evolutions so he took a wendigos power and mixed it with pathforgers ability and stability. There was a price though. 5 levels for the evolutions to be created and used. He saw it as fine and moved on. When he allowed it, he heard a hammer and saw 2 lines going into one.

He evolved straight away. This time, more shadows went into him. His wings were as big as a man" his horns came back bigger, and got long claws. As the evolution continued in almost hurt a little. Then it became agonizing. This continued for 3 minutes. Eventually, it finished. Creating a demon king.

And so he hunted for chimeras and the occasional human. After a few days Kazue learnt the church was connected to a holy church making people "free" demons. He was just happy he didn't become "freed". He eventually decided he wasn't going to stay in this forest forever. He would need to live somewhere. He looked around for a abandoned house or anything that would qualify as a home. He even went to a village. The result was the same. He just stayed under a tree for the night.

"WHAT! A WHOLE CHURCH WAS WIPED OUT!" Someone said. "I don't know who did it but they were scheduled for three to be freed, Reverend Noah. There was only two." The witness said. "Alright. Send the holy knights to scout the area. We Will Find That DEMON!"
