Death falling

Where could she be? Lemon wondered as he pressed on, his eyes scanning the surroundings intently. After a painstaking search, he finally located her. Her lifeless form lay not far from the two headless corpses, sprawled on the inky black earth. The sight was a grisly one; her once sleek leather armor was shredded, and gaping, bloody holes marred her delicate body, evidence of a fierce and fatal encounter.

"Total annihilation?" Lemon murmured to himself, a heavy sigh escaping his lips. His thoughts inevitably turned to other adventuring parties. What fate had befallen them? The fact that a platinum-level team had been so thoroughly decimated spoke volumes about the current perils lurking within the deadwood Forest.
