Chapter 41

~Aurora~

An entire week passed, and still no response from Zayne. It had been very unnerving every passing day he didn't wake up.

Just like before, we visited Zayne at the hospital and took over for Lynn after school every day. While we were in there, I would've explained as much as I could've to Carter until he finally believed and understood everything. He even gave me the star piece which caused all this.

On the final day, Carter was looking around the hospital room, fiddling with all the different types of tools. I sat next to Zayne where I always was. As Carter played around with a light, he began to ask extra questions.

"Did you know about his feelings towards you?"

I thought for a moment and looked at Zayne. His heartbeat was steady, and that was all I needed to hear. "It was quite obvious."

"He didn't think so at all," Carter chuckled. "That's how Zayne is."
