Chapter 23

Once we got back to the hotel, a huge grin was stuck on my face. The excitement of flying with Aurora without crashing was the best feeling I've ever experienced. Even though it was a low flight, it was still enjoyable.

"You look like you had fun," Aurora said, giggling as we walk to our rooms.

"That was amazing!" I smiled uncontrollably.

"Despite you being embarrassed?"

"...well, yeah... Obviously."

Aurora laughed. Her smile made my heart soar, as if it was the only thing that was flying that night.

"Well, goodnight Zayne," she smiled at me.

"Goodnight, Aurora," I smiled back.

I entered my hotel room, expecting to see Carter sleeping. Instead, I caught Carter and Nadia making out in his bed. Because of my good mood, I erupted with laughter.

Yeah, I made it more awkward for them.

"Dude, what the hell?" Carter asked as Nadia covered herself with the blanket. "Don't you know how to knock?"
