Alex had gone back to Aria's house after he finished his test. The moment he reached there he was bombarded with questions but he shook them of saying that he was tired before retiring into his temporary room
Alex: Ok Alpha you have some explaining to do
Alpha: What is there to explain.
Alex: All this crazy stuff about magic.
Alpha: What do you want to know
Alex: Well for starters how do I use it
Alpha: From my records the key to using magic is imagination. The stronger someone's imagination is the stronger their magic is.
Alex: So it works like how it did in fantasy anime.
Alpha: I guess u can put it that way but u still need imagination.
Alex: O then I don't have to worry about anything I am pretty sure you can take care of it then.
Alpha: Ur not going to even try.
Alex: No way what do you think ur for plus I need to save my brain cells for more important things
Alpha(with a sigh): And what are these important things
Alex: I will let you know when I think of something important
Alpha(Zapping him in the brain): Ud better do some work otherwise I am going to deactivate myself (He said threateningly)
Alex(grabbing his head): Ouch that hurt your piece of tin foil what did you do that for
Alpha: Just a small reminder to get you to do something for a change.
Suddenly someone comes knocking at the door
Alex: Who's there
Aria: It's me, Chief told me to get you I think they have finished assessing your test
Alex(Getting to his feet): Fine wait a second I'm coming.
Aria: Fine by me she told me to accompany you there anyway.
The two of them head to the center of the village where they find Aanys and her two aids Wilson and Sylvia. Their faces give no indication of Alex's performance.
Aanya: Finally come over to the assessment room we will give you your results there.
Alex followed Aanys inside however Wilson tells Aria to stay outside
Aanya(In a business-like tone): Ok so we have graded your performance and we are pleased with the results for the first two tests however the third test is where the problem is at. To be frank, you are weaker than a baby when it comes to magic, Your mana storage and practical magic skills are terrible from what Sylvia tells me. The only thing good about you in that area is your affinity for magic and considering your martial arts skills we have decided to allow you into the village, BUT on a trial basis, If we see that your magic hasn't improved in a month then I'm afraid we will have to change our decision. Are you ok with that?
Alex: Your terms are perfectly fine with me I shall try my hardest to make sure you will think twice before even thinking about throwing me out.
Aanya: I see, I rather like your attitude very well try your best so that you do not have to fall back on your word (turning to Sylvia) I want you to make him a badge like everyone else
Alex(To himself): A badge what badge no one here seems to be wearing a badge
Sylvia: Very well, Alex come over here pls.
Alex walks over to Sylvia.
Sylvia mutters something under her breadth waves her hand and gently brings it down on Alex's shoulder. Alex feels something warm cover his shoulder like a blanket which is followed by a stabbing pain that disappears as suddenly as it comes. Alex simply looks at Sylvia with a look of complete confusion on his face.
Sylvia: This badge is an identification of sorts for this village each village has its own special badge and it's impossible to lose it because it's embedded in your body
Aanya: Good now that you have your badge I want you to train with Sylvia I will come back after a few days to monitor your progress and if I feel that you are slacking off ur leaving no second chances have I made myself clear
Alex: Crystal clear chief.
Aanya: Good now run along you can stay with Aria for the time being I will arrange separate accommodation for you later
