Chapter 17

Jial was studying the Telos Holocron alone in his room. He had learned that he preferred learning from this one due to the vast amount of information it stored. The Telos Holocron contained a large amount of similar content to the Great Holocron due to the vast number of Jedi who had fallen to the Dark Side and added the knowledge they had learned to it.  Although the last Jedi to add to it was over 800 years ago before Darth Bane created the Rule of 2, its repository was still vast.

Jial was studying the basics of Force Lightning when he got a call from Boxe.

"Hey, Boss. Um... I may have done something when I was out with the ship," Boxe was barely able to hide her joy and sound indifferent as she spoke to him.

"Did you get my ship blown up?" Jial asked curiously

"Nope. I blew up another ship though. And found some interesting cargo."

"What type of interesting cargo?" Jial's interest was peaked but he was also nervous. They already had one dangerous material on their hands. They didn't need a second one.

"Two kids. Teens I guess. Either way, I have them on a ship with me and am planning to bring them back to base."

"I'm not even gonna ask how this all came down. As long as my ship is fine and whoever you killed doesn't have allies to come after us, I truly just can't bother to care," Jial told her honestly. Way too much stuff was going on for him to try and get involved in every little thing that Boxe did because something caught her interest or because she was bored.

"I'll take that as permission. We just landed so we should be back in a few minutes," Boxe sounded excited, glad to have some new blood in the group. She wanted to train up the two kids and have them either join Clan Spar or work Jial directly.

Jial sighed before getting up and walking out of his room and down to the meeting room. Zilvarth was sitting there and eating (drinking?) some soup.

"Your daughter is bringing back some kids," Jial told him as he took a seat at the head of the table

Zilvarth did not even raise an eyebrow at Jial's words. It was normal for Mandalorians to adopt orphans and have them join their clans. It was also his daughter who had more curiosity than a Nautolan visiting Mon Calamari for the first time.

"Did she say she was adopting them into our clan?" Zilvarth asked

"Not sure. Didn't ask. Figured I would not like the answer," Jial told him honestly

"Smart. Neither will I, probably," Zilvarth finished his soup and pushed the bowl away. "When can we expect her?"

"Any second now."

Almost as soon as he spoke the words, the doors opened revealing Boxe and two teens behind her. Both were females, though it was hard to tell with their lupine features. Both were Shistavanens, also nicknamed Wolfmen.

These guys were rare to find in the galaxy. Not because they were low-tech and couldn't explore but simply because most did not wish to. Shistavanens were isolationist to the extreme. For every million on their homeworld, 1 would leave the planet, most likely to become a bounty hunter or mercenary.

Shistavanens appeared just as their nicknames called them, Wolfmen. They had canine appearances: furry bodies, pronounced muzzles, sharp claws, long pointed teeth, and pointed ears set on top of their heads. They also possessed excellent hearing and smell as well as incredible night vision.

The pair in front of Jial was slightly abnormal though. Most of the time, their fur ranged from grey to shades of brown but these 2 had black fur.

"Father. Boss. Let me introduce you to the two kids I found. This is Hash Grerr," she pointed to the one on her left before pointing to the one on her right. "And this is her sister, Nott Grerr."

Hash had a more muscular physique and smaller ears than her sister, making it easier to tell the pair apart.

"Nice to meet you both," Jial and Zilvarth greeted the two politely before turning to look at Boxe.

"What happened and why did you bring them here?" Zilvarth asked

Boxe then told them the entire story.

She was out exploring Jial's new ship and was testing the scanner when she picked up a ship. She noticed that it was from a small smuggler group that Clan Spar had issues with in the past. She was originally planning to just do an attack from the shadows and blow them up when her sensors picked up on these two being locked up in the cargo bay.

So instead of killing them outright, Boxe disabled their engines and turrets, leaving them stranded in space. After that, she boarded the ship and killed all of the smugglers before rescuing the teens and blowing up the ship.

After she did that, she decided to bring the pair back down to Lok to test if they could use the Force. If not, she was planning to adopt them into Clan Spar after finding out the pair had no remaining family left.

'Do you think force sensitives just grow on trees? I only became one due to the system. But she thinks that the random orphans she found were going to be.'

Jial was about to inform her about her misunderstanding when he got a system notification.

'Shut up, System!' Jial felt like the system had done that just to spite him but he was not going to complain about getting two Force-Sensitives to join him.

"Both of these two are indeed Force Sensitives. I will take them both in as disciples," Jial told the others surprising everyone in the room

'Does my daughter really have that good of an eye? Why has she never used this to help the Clan?' Zilvarth had similar thoughts to Jial at first, believing his daughter was underestimating how difficult it was to find Force Sensitives.

"Really? I was just taking a lucky guess," Boxe rubbed the back of her helmet, feeling giddy that her act had truly helped Jial.

Both girls were stunned but the older twin recovered faster. Hash pressed down on her sister's head, forcing her to bow while she did the same.

"We thank you, Master. We will be sure to learn all that we can from you," she said, excited to learn that she had a connection to the Force. She had seen Jedi in action before and had dreamed of performing similar feats to one.

"Thank you very much, Master," Nott also spoke up after recovering from her shock.
