Chapter five:

Malak turned on his heel, facing away from Bastila. He silently reached out for a tendril of the Force, willed it to probe her mind. Images of Cale Lestin flooded his mind. Her perceptions of Cale Lestin were clear as the water's in the room of a thousand fountains. She thinks of him as her savior. Her lover! Such ignorance!

He turned again and struck with Force lightning. More screaming more agony. Bastila knew she couldn't take much more. Even aided by the Force, these tortures were taking their toll. Still, her defiant wouldn't allow her to give up, and she still held out hope for her rescue.
