Cyrus finally left the bushes, appearing on hardened ground with a red sky.

This was unusual; he turned around, and the snowy island wasn't behind him anymore. Far ahead, he saw a castle guarded by two harmed lizard men.

"Guess that's my stop," thought Cyrus, skidding his feet down the hill.

Initially, he had thought being was a bad guy, but now, it was becoming more like he was preparing Cyrus for what was to come.
