Heads, counted as five, steadily rode on their horses as they passed the canyon with peak caution. Rumors have it that some demons dwell here, but only the most foolish ones would attack at midday.
"Sir..."
"I know, Roic. The horses are feeling the pressure," muttered Lord South-Gate as he scrubbed the hair on his white horse.
The canyon is a space with tall walls on both sides, leaving a slim, narrow path. At most, three horses could be in the same lane.
Normally, the four executioners had nothing to fear because the mighty Lord Winter, a tier A and leader of the south, was with them.
Though some of them were quaking in their boots, it was a transient feeling. The day they became executioners, they took an oath to follow the leaders' orders or die trying.
Besides, every fiend knows Lord South-Gate as a monster. It would be hard to have his neck rolling on the floor.
