We'll Proceed As Planned

Fuse Corporation.

Ever since the news of President Fuse would appear for today's meeting spread, the media was eagerly waiting for his arrival. Time hadn't stopped ticking and they had been waiting for a long time yet the man had yet to appear.

The sun was shining brightly from the sky, increasing the temperature of the city. When the journalists were busy chatting among themselves, a row of black cars entered the vicinity of Fuse Corporation. They immediately scrambled and took their positions.

Two rows of bodyguards formed a protective barrier between the journalists. The second car stopped right in front of the red carpet. Everyone's eyes were on the car. They knew it was the personalized car for the President of Fuse Corporation. The ones with the cameras didn't stop clicking the shutter.

Special Assistants Hibiki and Matsuzaki came out from the car. They stood beside the car, unfazed with the tremendous attention they were receiving. After a while, a slender leg in black pants could be seen before a tall body appeared in front of them.

It was him! The man of the hour!

Fuse Ren walked over to the lobby without paying attention to the media. All of their questions fell on deaf ears. He looked so intimidating when he led two rows of subordinates entered the lobby. The employees who spotted him immediately halted their actions and bowed in respect to him.

"President Wada is here too," Matsuzaki whispered before they reached the meeting room.

Ren nodded. He already knew that the man would be here. This would be their first time meeting one another after the man became the new President of Z-Tech.

When the man finally appeared after days of missing from their attention, all eyes fell on him.

Ren steadily walked to his seat, looking at Wada Tatsuya who sat next to him. The man stood up, he raised his hand towards Ren. They were almost at the same height, with Ren being an inch taller.

"I didn't expect to see the man of the hour so soon," Wada Tatsuya's lips curved into a smile. He good-naturedly added, "After you went missing at the press conference, I thought it'd take us at least a week before we could finally meet."

Ren chuckled, he had always a good impression on this man.

"Apologies, President Wada. The events that happened over the last few days have caused distress to my wife. I was just taking her out of the city to avoid further stressing her down. After all, whatever happened was partially my fault."

"Oh, the young lady?" Amusement laced in his voice when Tatsuya recalled the fiery lady who appeared with Old Madam Fuse the other day. "She did a good job when facing Mr. Sagara. I must say she suits her position as Mrs. Fuse."

"As her husband, I'm glad to hear that," Ren smiled.

The other people who were seated inside the meeting room could only hear the exchange between the two men. Some of them had already met Mrs. Fuse a few days ago. They were doubtful even when Old Madam Fuse proclaimed her as her granddaughter-in-law but to hear it from President Fuse was another story.

When did this capable man got married? And it wasn't like it was a political marriage between two prominent families?

Ren finally sat down. The moment he laid his eyes on them, they shivered in fear. The fond smile on his face from when he was talking about his wife had turned to a cold, frosty expression. No one dared to speak.

"I rushed over here since I heard most of you wanted to meet me, am I dreaming?" Ren talked after seeing they remained in silence. His voice was mild and indifferent. "If you want to waste my time, refrain yourselves from doing so."

"President Fuse! We just... need some explanations from you." A man in his forties mustered up his courage and spoke. "We knew from Special Assistant Matsuzaki about Mr. Sagara but..."

The man trailed off, he lowered his head after unable to meet the eyes of the man at the head of the seat.

"I'll state some points here if that's what you want to hear. After this, we would begin our meeting about the company's future endeavors and the incident at Summer City Hotel."

A few faces raised to look at him, intrigued by what he had said. Ren leaned forward, resting his chin on his interlocking fingers.

"First, anyone who was involved with Mr. Sagara would be cut off from Fuse Corp. No matter the degree of their corporation. Second, Fuse Corp will join hands with Z-Tech Group, ending our rivalry for better outcomes for our companies. Third, if something arises to harm Fuse Corporation again, I won't hesitate to act."

His voice carried threats when he briefly stated his facts, making them unable to refute. What Mr. Sagara had done shocked them. He was one of the original shareholders from when Fuse Corporation had yet to prosper. They didn't expect greed would overtake the man and bring doom to him.

Ren led the meeting from a topic to another topic of discussion. Wada Tatsuya remained in his seat until it was time for Fuse Corporation's internal affairs. Ren promised to visit Z-Tech soon after the recent matters had settled down. After the man left with the rest of the shareholders, another group of the team came to meet him to discuss the incident of Summer City Hotel.

Since it was clear that Mr. Sagara was the one who orchestrated the whole incident, the public uproar towards Fuse Corporation subsided and they gained sympathy instead. The injured labor workers were still recuperating in the hospital and their health had gradually improved. But it would still take a few weeks before they could get back to work.

When all of the meetings finally ended, it was already 8 PM. Ren went to his office to settle a few things, followed by Matsuzaki from behind. He had instructed Hibiki to go and pick Tsubaki up from the old house. Since the old house was quite far from the company, Ren decided to go back to Spring Garden and met his grandmother the other day. Since he had left the company for a few days, a mountain of workload had been waiting for him.

"The birthday celebration of Old Madam is getting nearer, all the preparations have been completed. Does Master wants to have a final check?" Matsuzaki placed a stack of documents on Ren's desk.

Ren took off his jacket and hung it on his chair. He leaned against the swivel chair, exhaustion could be seen on his face.

"Do what you want to do. Grandma actually wanted to cancel the celebration after what had happened but we couldn't afford to do it. We'll proceed as planned."

"Yes, Master." Matsuzaki nodded. "The dress for Madam would arrive in two days. I have already arranged for the fitting session to be held at Spring City Hotel. I'll inform Madam once it's confirmed."

Ren's eyes lit up at the mention of the dress. His lips curved up as he remembered his plan involving the Japanese-French fashion designer. "Make sure it's perfect. It's her first time meeting the people from the high society. I don't want anything going wrong."

"Yes, Master."
