Spirit Orbs : Chronicles of Ra'as

Check out my new novel, My Mech System, it's way better than everything else I've ever written, hehe. ********* A twist of fate or more like an unexpected turn of events send four individuals on a journey across the realms of Ra'as, a world of superpowers and extraordinary individuals. An adventure that will put them against powerful foes and will enable them uncover the secrets behind the real origins of their world is about to begin. Unknown to our protagonists though is the fact that the threat of war looms over the Planet Ra'as with several factions getting into a struggle for the possession of the omnipotent device known as the Spirit orbs. An epic tale of love and loss, pain and suffering, despair and revenge awaits all those willing to embark on this adventure with our protagonists. *********************** Voting for my novel with power stones is greatly welcomed. Please vote for my book. :) Also add the novel to your library if you are enjoying it. :) Thanks in advance. Currently on hiatus... :)

Taken off the case

TIME : 8:12AM

LOCATION : CALOS CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.

"Hey Bali, you called, what have you got for us??"

Sai says as he and Ilara walk into the forensics department to find Bali sitting at her desk.

"Oh hey you guys made it on time, have I got a treat for you guys today."

Bali says as she pulls out a file and hands it to Ilara.

"What's this??"

Ilara asks as she opens the file to check it's contents.

"So I checked out the guy that you and Sai saw having an exchange with Crow, Jace if I'm not mistaken. Well I made some research on him with the info you guys gave him and found out some interesting things about including some of his unfortunate habits."

Bali says as Ilara and Sai go through the file in their possession.

"Wait.... Jocule clubhouse, I think I know this place, wait are you completely sure that he frequents this particular clubhouse??"

Sai asks looking at Bali.

"I'm 89% sure."

Bali replies with a sheepish smile, placing her hand on her head as she does so.

"I guess that's good enough, I mean we don't have anything to go on at the moment and if this information is right, we might just have a breakthrough with this case."

Ilara comments as she closes the file.

"Thanks Bali, I really appreciate this."

Ilara says to Bali.

"You're welcome."

Bali replies just before an officer walks in.

" Sai, Ilara. Chief wants to see you guys in his office asap."

the officer beckons to Sai and Ilara.

"We'll be with him shortly."

***********************

"I'm sorry, but the both of you have been removed from the Harlem case and suspended indefinitely."

Gr'egor says to the utmost surprise of Sai and Ilara, who can't believe what they had just heard.

"I'm sorry sir but I don't think I heard you right, did you just say we are suspended??"

Sai asks in utter disbelief.

"I'm sorry if I had known this case would be this delicate, I wouldn't have placed the both of you on it. Whatever you guys have been doing has been touching some of the higher ups and they have ordered for your suspension."

Gr'egor seems quite upset by the decision and is not hiding it in the slightest.

"So what do you expect us to do??... We have put so much effort into our investigation and you just want us to abandon all our hard work??"

Ilara asks, rising from her seat.

"Sit down Ilara. Your investigation will be passed on to another, so you guys can give everything you've gotten so far and hand it over to them. What I'm doing now is for your own good, you may not realize it now but I hope the both of you can understand."

Gr'egor signals for Sai and Ilara to leave and they do so in an unruly fashion, quite upset at what had just happened…

"I can't believe this, what does he take us for, huh… Take us off our case and suspend us, what the hell are we supposed to do now."

Sai rages as he barges into their office and knocks a few things from their desk.

"I don't just understand why he would do this to us, it's totally unfair."

Ilara walks into the office and takes a seat, they are both visibly upset and quite frustrated as well.

Sai and Ilara sit quietly for a while trying to process everything.

"I'm not stopping our investigation."

Sai finally breaks the silence causing Ilara to break her train of thought.

"Didn't you hear what Gr'egor said, we have been suspended and taken off our case, we are supposed to hand in all our progress so far to the next duo taking on the case."

"I know that but if the new detectives they want to assign the investigation to are half as good as we are, wouldn't the same process repeat itself??... Unless they are corrupt to which case, our work would be shelved just like the Ruso murder case years back and I for one, I'm not gonna let that happen. They think that they have won but they don't know they just started a war with Sai Kisoka and I promise you they will get what's coming…"

Sai says in a menacing tone with Ilara agreeing.

"You're right, we can't stop now. But we'd have to work outside of our jurisdiction, if we get caught out, we might be facing a harsher punishment."

Sai rises from his seating position on the desk and looks at Ilara.

"Governor Cheng and his allies made this personal when they decided to suspend us, I'm not going down without a fight but I need your support now more than ever, let's nail these sons of bitches."

Ilara can't help but smile sheepishly.

"Yeah let's do that but first we have to clean up our desk."

***********************

"I can't believe you guys are actually on suspension."

Bali says as she comes in to meet Sai and Ilara done with packing up their desk

"Yeah Bali, we can't believe it either, but I guess there's nothing we can do about it."

Ilara walks up to her and gives her a tight hug.

"I'm gonna need you to keep an eye on our replacements for the Harlem case, can you do that??"

Ilara asks has she withdraws from the hug.

"Yeah sure of course, anything for my two favorite detectives." Bali replies with a smile.

Two men walk in just as Sai and Ilara are about to leave the office with Bali.

"Sai, Ilara, we are the replacement on the Harlem case. We'll be taking over from here but we'll need a detailed report of your investigation so as to continue."

Sai sizes them up before replying.

"Aren't you guys slightly worried that you might end up getting suspended as well??"

Both men chuckle before one decides to reply.

"Detective Sai, all I can say is that you guys were loud with your investigation, we'll try to be more discreet."

Sai manages a smile before turning to their cleaned out desk to point at a brown file laying there.

"There's what you came here for, you'll find everything we have worked on in the file, I hope you guys have more luck with the case."

One of the men walk to the table and picks up the file, checking it out he nods to his colleague.

"Alright then, we'll keep you posted as we make headway."

"We'd appreciate that."

Ilara chimes in cutting off Sai before he could speak.

"Good day detectives."

The men say as they take their leave….

TIME : 12:30PM

LOCATION : GOVERNMENT HOUSE, CALOS CITY

"Yes Gr'egor, have you done what I asked??"

Cheng asks over the receiver.

"You know I was happy with letting them go on a wild goose chase. But suspension is only just going to make them more determined to get to the root of everything that's been happening."

Gr'egor replies angrily.

"If they try to bite off more than they can chew, they might end up paying with their lives. I know you're saying all this because you actually fancy the detectives, but I will not tolerate pests, you have allowed them solve the best cases just because you were trying to groom them for the circle, now they think they can just start going around poking their nose in things that are beyond their understanding??"

Cheng asks in a condescending tone.

"Yes I admit that Sai and Ilara are a bit adventurous but I never thought they'd actually open up such a forgotten can of worms. I felt that they would make as excellent additions to the circle but now what you have done has just put all my plans in jeopardy. Watching over them here at the station was wise, now that they are not here anymore, I can no longer predict their movement neither would I be able to fill you in on their progress."

Gr'egor sounds worried over the recent state of things and is quite open about his misgivings over the recent events that had taken place.

"I don't care about that, I have already made my decision and there's no going back from that. If you still want to be of use to me, you can post some of your officers to spy on them so they won't cause any trouble with their nosy behavior."

"Alright then, I'll do that."

Gr'egor replies.

"Good…now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to."

Cheng says after which he drops the cell…..
