15. Won’t spare anyone

Jane Dover returned to her bedroom with her painful chest and that pink rose but when she saw Darius Simard standing on the balcony, she felt a chill on her back. She knew that the whole garden was visible from the balcony and she was afraid that Darius Simard would have seen her again with Vrinda Simard. Between her fear, when she recalled the question of Vrinda Simard, nerves became cold. She kept looking at his dynamic back for a long time and did not intend to disturb him as she was afraid of his questions.

"Come here." His low and deep voice reached in her ears and she got stunned. She could not clarify how he knew that she was behind him. She slowly stepped ahead and stopped right behind him. She looked at the beautiful flower she was holding and with a different thought, she hid that flower behind her back.

"Close your eyes." He was cold and Jane Dover closed her eyes in panic.

Darius Simard turned back slowly and looked at her coldly with his blue eyes. Her innocent pretty face was fluttering his mind but he wanted to perform something before he could talk to her about something. He looked at her palm which had clenched in confusion that made him smile at the silly woman. He touched her fist and she shook slightly. He raised her palm and held it gently while looking at it with his sparkling eyes. She was swallowing saliva frequently as she did not know what he wanted to do with her right palm. She was relieved that she had hidden that flower in her left palm behind her. He put a priceless bracelet on her delicate wrist and kissed gently on the back of her palm.

"Open your eyes and tell me whether you liked it."

Jane Dover opened her eyes impatiently and looked at her wrist which was decorated with a stunning bracelet. It was light in weight yet was truly beautiful which made her heart melt towards him. She raised her head and looked at him in a daze. There wasn't any occasion to exchange gifts yet what was the bracelet about?

After looking at him for a while, she realised that he was waiting for her answer.

"I liked it." She could not face him and lowered her gaze quickly. Darius Simard smiled slightly and held her chin gently as if he knew the shy state of her heart.

"Are you trying to kill me with your actions?"

She could not understand why he was using such words to flutter her heart. She bit her lips but her red face was proving that she was feeling shy in front of him. Darius Simard sighed deeply as if he was facilitated after getting such expressions and wrapped his arms around her waist. As soon as his palm touched her back, his fingers touched that pink lower she was trying to hide from him. He frowned and pulled her arm in front of him and when he saw a pink delicate flower, his eyes became calm. Jane Dover started trembling in front of him but when he grabbed that flower and looked at her with a slight seductive smile, her panic flew away and she kept looking at him confusingly.

"Why were you hiding it?" He asked in his low and deep voice and Jane Dover swallowed saliva in tension.

"I thought you... It would be..." When she did not find proper words to serve, she just lowered her eyes sadly.

"I am sorry." She said in her suppressed voice but her eyes had already turned tearful.

"Next time if you apologize, I will kiss you."

"Huh?" As soon as she raised her head after hearing this, Darius Simard smiled at her slyly. He placed that flower on her cheek gently and they looked into each other's deep eyes.

"Do you know? You are much more delicate than this flower."

He slid the rose slowly towards her neck and she felt chill on her back as she clenched her fists while closing her eyes in a daze. His low and seductive voice was smashing her strength.

One of his arms held her waist tighter and she let her lean towards his body.

"Your body is so delicate that I am hesitant to touch you so that you may not get hurt. But this body melts my control."

Jane Dover opened her eyes and looked at him with her solemn gaze as if she was asking him to touch her more. Darius Simard dropped the pink flower and held her cheek with his warm palm. Before he could lean and kiss her juicy lips, the door was knocked and it made him irritated.

"It seems that I could not do it."

Jane Dover finally came back to her senses when she heard his complaint. She quickly left his embrace and turned back to face the balcony.

"Your highness, the dinner is prepared." Sinja was standing at the door with dinner.

"Get in."

The dining table was decorated with delicious dishes and light candles. Jane Dover's face was calm and she could not dare to face him after hearing his last comment. She could understand why he became irritated as he wanted to do it with her but he was interrupted by Sinja. She put the spoon on the plate and looked at it coldly while thinking about his feelings. Once she was tense about why he was not sleeping with her but tonight she was scared and wished he could not do it with her. It was not that she did not want to sleep with him, it was not that she wanted to sleep with him either yet she was his wife and he had right over her body. But when she saw his truthful eyes today, she found that she could not do it anymore. If she would sleep with him and get pregnant, after delivering the child, she had to kill him and go back to Janseng. And she had to do this just only to save her pity life! What she would do after killing him? What she would do with that dry life without him? Wasn't she playing with his deep feelings?

Darius Simard looked at her empty plate then glanced at her pale face. He did not want to know what she was thinking but he could say that she was thinking about him.

The night was slightly cold but tonight, Jane Dover chose to lay down on the bed instead of going to the balcony. When Darius Simard entered the bedroom after taking bath, the strong boy fragrance disturbed her thoughts. When he sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her sincerely, she turned her stare and looked at him coldly. They stared at each other for a while then he smiled slightly at her.

"You seem tired."

"Hm."

"You should take bath. You will feel good."

Jane Dover coldly shook her head and looked at the side. Darius Siimard sighed and looked at her delicate palms resting on her stomach.

"You had gone to see the King."

As soon as she heard this, her back felt chill and she stared at him coldly. Till now, she had understood that he had a great sense of understanding people but he used to make her stunned after speaking unexpected things.

"He had asked me to see him." She answered in her suppressed voice.

"I liked that you have learned the royal manners." He had spoken with a slight smirk which made her confused about his temper.

Jane Dover swallowed her hesitance and tried to throw a gentle smile at him while saying, "Thank you."

Darius Simard rubbed her head with a slight smile and went straight to the balcony. Jane over could not understand why suddenly he was acting strangely. Seeing his cold back, Jane Dover became more impatient and kept looking at him from the bedroom with her dry eyes. There was a trolley arranged on the balcony with a jug of red wine. She had never seen him drinking after marriage but tonight, he was sipping red wine slowly with his heavy heart. She did not know what unexpected matter was disturbing him and she was uneasy to ask. She struggled not to sleep but her heavy eyes slowly closed and she fell asleep in a while.

"What do you want to say?" Darius Simard looked at the crow sitting on the railing. His eyes were red and heavy as if he was stressed.

Crow… Crow… Crow…

Darius Simard's face suddenly dulled and he stared at the crow while gritting his teeth as if he was going to smash someone.

"We can't go ahead for now. Let's wait and watch for the proper moment. I am sure, I won't spare anyone." He said in his husky voice and gulped the red wine in a breath. He had drunk a lot yet his dynamism was too good.
