Not So Timid After All.

Orion has trouble sleeping that night. Too many thoughts were rushing through his head. The dream he had... the way others treat him. Even the school itself! It's too noisy for Orion to focus. Then there is the looks he gets... people look at him like he is a freak! {I'm not a dog! And I won't be treated like one!}

"Orion...."

Orion looks around for the person who called his name. Damien is sound asleep and it's the second story of the building. There is no one to have called his name.

Orion decides to clear his head with a short walk. He quietly gets out of bed puts on some normal clothing and leaves the room. He leaves the dorm building and walk around the courtyard for a while. As he is walking he hears the voice again.

"Orion...."

He looks around, confused. Deep in thought, Orion doesn't realize the people behind him.

The group was wondering the courtyard trying to find a good place to have some 'fun' when they heard a door shut. Looking down the hallway, they couldn't believe their luck! It was the dog! They watched the freak walk down the stairs and a silent agreement went through the group. They began to follow the 'dog', even out to the courtyard where it seemed to wander. On the way they realized that the 'dog' was oblivious to his surroundings and they didn't have to be that careful. The larger kid nodded. Then they jumped the 'dog'.

Orion was startled out of his thoughts as he was hit from behind. Losing his balance he fell to the ground.

"Well, if it isn't the little freak!" A large kid said.

The kid speaking was slightly on the chubby side. He had multiple small scars on his face along with a few newer cuts. Behind him was four other kids. They all seemed around sixteen to seventeen.

Orion looked around him to see if anyone was around that could help him.

"No one is around, just you and me! That's what happens when a dog is out when it isn't supposed to be!" One of the kids behind chubby states.

Anger visibly appears on Orion's face.

"Oh, did that make you upset? Look guys the dog is mad at me! It looks like it might bite us! Oh no!" Chubby says in a sarcastic tone.

"Go away." Orion says through gritted teeth.

"We might... if you get down on all fours and act like a dog." They all laugh at what chubby said. Orion lets out a low growl.

"I. Said. Go. Away." Orion say in a low tone- a dangerous tone. The group of kids don't realize anything amiss and just laugh. One of the kids speaks up.

"Do as he says dog!" Resulting in more laughing from the kids buddies.

Then Orion snaps. The laughter stops as Orion lunges at chubby taking him by surprise. Even though chubby has more mass Orion knocks him off his feet. Orion scratches, punches, and even bites the kid. The other kids that were acting so tough before, run away after seeing Orion attack.

Chubby screams in pain and lights start to turn on in the dorms, visible through the windows on the building. After Orion calms down some he looks at chubby. His face is bruised and scratched. Chubby is a bloody mess.

Realizing his mistake Orion panics and leaves the unconscious kid in the middle of the path. Running, Orion enters the schools building and rushes into one of the currently empty classrooms. Once inside Orion slumps to the ground. He looks at his hands which have blood on them- still wet. It makes Orion's stomach turn. Luckily there is a sink in the classroom so Orion washes his hands and face. When he hears voices he quickly hides in the classroom closet in fear. He slumps to the floor inside and sits there in the small space until he drifts to sleep.

A man is sitting in a room full of computers there are at least twenty other people in the room. An beep comes from one of the main screens the built in AI locator states:

[Subject 021 signal received! Subject located. Sending Coordinates to hunting unit alpha.]

Them man smiles.

"Finally..."
